It's from a trip to North Wales in April. This was near Snowdonia but we were on our way to Porth Ysgaden on the Llyn Penninsular, about 30 miles further on, where they had no snow and temperatures of 20 degrees.

Thanks all. I am frozen to death already!. They are great,truly "cool".

Even the miniature horses need to find their own grass after a rare Timaru snowstorm. This was June 7th, 2008 and the last time any decent snow fell. Been a couple of times since then that snow has fallen but ony briefly settled on the ground.

A few years ago now, but this was the backcountry lodge in the Monashees (British Columbia, Canada) from which we did day tours to the surrounding peaks and glaciers.

There was a lion supposed to be loose in Essex earlier... turned out to be a large cat, but fortunately of the moggy variety not a tiger, lol.

It is so NOT fun to drive on roads such as these. This was in Wyoming a couple of years ago.

Clara Sue, there's NO WAY I would even attempt to drive on roads like that! I love all these cool photos, and here's one of my own, taken when I was stranded in Dublin in November 2010, the snow came earlier and heavier than usual and the whole country practically came to a standstill, no salt for the roads, no way of getting around, the airport closed for several days ...

My sister lives in Colorado and has deer visit her yard every evening. I got to see them during my visit last Christmas.
