Sorry all, my brain hurts! This MONTH's theme is "Cool". We have had temperatures of 33C up lately and keeping cool is a challenge. So I thought "Cool" was a wide enough subject for you all to use your renowned ingenuity on. Good luck! The old theme of rings remains open for a few hours yet.

It's from a trip to North Wales in April. This was near Snowdonia but we were on our way to Porth Ysgaden on the Llyn Penninsular, about 30 miles further on, where they had no snow and temperatures of 20 degrees.

There was a lion supposed to be loose in Essex earlier... turned out to be a large cat, but fortunately of the moggy variety not a tiger, lol.

This disco ball was used on the set of Saturday Night Fever. & if that's not cool, I don't know what is.

The same glacier as in Ertrum's post, taken last year in July.

Cold looking mountains in the distance. Part of the Karakoram range. Xinjiang province in China, on the road between Kashigar and Tashkurgan. That's a young boy on the camel by the way.

Clara Sue, there's NO WAY I would even attempt to drive on roads like that! I love all these cool photos, and here's one of my own, taken when I was stranded in Dublin in November 2010, the snow came earlier and heavier than usual and the whole country practically came to a standstill, no salt for the roads, no way of getting around, the airport closed for several days ...

Thanks all, the weather here has dropped to the high 20's and nights are cooler at last. Your lovely photos seem to have done the trick. I will give it another week and change the theme next Sunday 23rd.

Funnily enough, we have never used Blue as a theme so that will be it I think.

oh thank goodness on a blue theme. I rarely take pictures of cool things (although I wish I could have found my Snoopy "joe cool" complete with sunglasses coffee cup before this one ended). As for "cold" things, am usually too busy shovelling them lol

Nice idea, Ren. The theme immediately made me think of Flopsy's sea photo. It's one of my all time favourites.
