I like Terry's challenge mulligan... it's an interesting twist and it would be a real benefit to GMs. The Amazing Race challenge left people stuck in the same place for ages and judging from the chatboards some of them got really frustrated - at least with a mulligan, GM's frustration would be limited to a week.

Uhm, you would never be stuck on anything more than a day since challenges reset once per day. It would just be a way to get rid of something you really don't want to play if a challenge type comes up you don't like or that you badly missed (e.g. one based on a daily score when you scored too low).

I like both of these perks - they're small enough to not be unbalancing but overall make the game flow just a little bit more intensely.

Ah I was assuming from the conversation about that secret thing we're not allowed to know about yet that there might be a longer delay... but as I don't know how that's going to work, I'll shut up now.

Would someone please purchase a challenge if you get the chance. I need a NEMESIS partner.

Actually, for testing, it would be great if no one did. That way, we can see if it correctly marks you as winner tomorrow morning.

Never seen this before, popped up earlier when the system was finding quizzes, apparently decided that I not only know the insides and outs of Hogwarts and Twilight, but remember the 80s well. Just curious, how does it decide what someone knows/likes?

You probably played some quizzes in the past (considering you're here), so it may have some good idea of what you prefer.

Will have to wait til next week unfortunately. I've spent most of the day tracing down some really weird bugs that appear not to be my fault! The worst type, since they can't be readily fixed. Gr.

I'm just inquiring how close is the new game to coming online? Is it going to be an on-going game, or is it going to be something you do daily until you reach the finish?

I don't know about your first question, but it is definitely an on-going game.

Note Terry's comment from the previous page (Pg 19):

Like with all games, there is something resembling a finish in the badges planned, but getting all of them will keep you busy for many months and possibly years and you can of course continue playing even after reaching them. Plus, we might always add more goals - the system is extremely flexible.

There will also likely be ranking lists to keep the game competitive beyond the badge thresholds.

As to when, hopefully within the next couple of weeks. It has been a little slower than I had hoped because I've also been dealing with some other unrelated irritating and time consuming technical issues.

I returned from the Paralympics to find that I didn't miss anything - I'm not sure whether I should be pleased that I don't have to feel guilty or annoyed that my playing hookey didn't get noticed, lol.

You were missed! It's been pretty slow though lately, in general, and the weekend wasn't much help.

Be careful with the side effects of that one - switching out a Twin or Nemesis needs to be dealt with. I'll test that one when you have the perk ready (Luckily I do have a Nemesis around)

Does the GM perk give you a choice of what to swap or does it randomly pick? Also, like the New Challenge button, do you have to have a certain complete to use it or can it be used at any time?

Looks to me like you get to choose. That will come in very convenient for those trying to get their 10 in a day for a badge. :P

Switch out added. I have removed the check that only allows 1 switch, so right now you can switch as much as you want to test it.

But, since you did that intentionally, it looks good. Haha.

I just switched one challenge, and it worked perfectly. I then did the challenge and it recorded the result correctly. So far so good!

Worked the same way for me both times.

I have one challenge available, but I don't want to switch it out. It's one I can do. :P
