I have the challenge "find a quiz that starts with the letter E and score at least 3 correct". I played a quiz called "Edward Scissorhands" something... Technically, the first "letter" is ". Is it intended not to count because of the ", or is that a bug and it should count as beginning with E?

Just curious. smile

I've traded the challenge out about umpteen zillion times, and it all appears to be working smoothly, Terry. smile

Has the nemesis or twin been tested for if someone has it and no one else gets it yet? To make sure it marks it as complete?

I have nemesis with no partner so, assuming no one else buys challenges or trades and gets it, we can see how it turns out. :P

And, testing was a success. It did NOT allow me to switch out the Nemesis challenge, even though I have no Nemesis Partner.

I also tested a cheat attempt - have the switchout open in one window, complete a challenge in another and then try to switch the just completed one. Attempt successfully blocked. Nice smile

I don't think that's been tested yet. I tried a few days ago, but Mariamir bought a new challenge, so it didn't work out.

I just switched out a challenge, got a new one, switched that out, got a new one, switched that out... and got one for which I'd already met the requirements, which was recorded correctly so I haven't been able to break it yet either. smile

I just did the same. It correctly recorded my morning Impossible! score giving me credit as it should have. It also correctly record the completion of a replacement challenge after the fact.

Edit: It works fine replacing bought challenges too.

Tomorrow I'll start adding the basic badges.

Mini for complete 2 easy, medium, difficult ?
Full badges for 20/20/20 and 200/200/200 ?

Open to thoughts on the numbers.

I think the number for the mini can be increased a bit, maybe to 4 or 5 apiece, so it takes more than a day (with buying) or 2 (without) to get it.

The other two look fine to me.

I keep seeing code-like stuff on the replace challenge screen after I make a swap. It happens every time I switch one out.

I think 10 total (any difficulty) for Topaz mini, 20x3 for Emerald full and 200x3 for Ruby Full sounds good. Add to that the Epic collector (level-based full - 75th or 125th) and the 10 in one day (Sapphire mini) and we have ourselves a good lineup.

Megabadge of 2,000? wink

Someday that badge may come. I'm avoiding to suggest megas until we're sure the game is well accepted and still fun after 200 days. (Not that I doubt it with this one, but can't be too careful)

Wes's numbers look good to me. Ten for the mini is still an easy target, but gets people used to ongoing nature of the challenge and the other targets are achievable. I do think there could be something even longer term though - if you want to keep the regular badge-hunters happy, give them another large target to go for, whether you call that a megabadge or not.

Oh __________! After switching out two challenges, I can't switch more? And now if I can't, I've just messed up testing for Nemesis, AGAIN! So sorry. frown

You should be able to swap out as many incomplete challenges as you want right now. You can't swap out Twin or Nemesis though once you get it...

I can buy another challenge or so, and see if I can get Nemesis without a partner. I've got some time, and swaps should make it easier...

Bought a new challenge I'd never seen before:

"Complete a Major FunTrivia Challenge that results in a badge being won. Note that mini-challenges do not count."

I like it!! And with my "I See All!" today, it was already completed!

Okay, I have Nemesis alone. So don't buy another one or swap please. I also have Twin, so apparently it is possible to get both...interesting! As they are both solos this time, barring any unexpected buys or swaps, it should test both, yes?

With all that buying and switching I went from 4 complete to 11 (12) in about 10 mins smile

Retroactive feature works well. I'm still getting a purple box sometimes though when swapping challenges, and sometimes it's just words thats appear, that I don't think are supposed to be there...

Edit: Also wanted to note that, while buying and swapping challenges, the distribution of new Easy/Med/Dif seemed good and there was a LOT of variety in the new challenges it generated for me. I did get some repeats at the Difficult level, but I don't think that's going to make any impact on actual gameplay since in reality only 1 swap per week is allowed...not 30+ in 5 mins wink

Thanks for testing. Shutting down unlimited switches now smile

Agree with Wesley's thoughts above.

Is 10 in one day too tough though?

"Today you have been given the Twin Challenge! Your goal is to match the total points earned today of a specific player who also has been issued this challenge. If either of you returns to this page while your total points earned today values differ by exactly 0, 2500, 5000, or 10000 points, you will both complete this challenge. At least one of the twins must have scored 500 points. Your twin for today is unassigned right now. Please try back later when more players are given this challenge so we can pair you up.
No twin assigned yet. Complete"

Both TWIN and NEMESIS gave me "Complete"s when the day switched over.

I did 10 in one day a week or so ago. It is definitely doable. It will take some building up of credits though, so it won't be able to be attempted for the first several weeks. Something to look forward to and to hoard credits for.

I figure, if you get all 6 credits each day, without spending any, that it will take 21 days to save up enough credits to purchase the 7 necessary to make 10 challenges available to play, assuming you can complete them all. It's not impossible, but it's certainly a challenge to get 10 that you can complete. I think the real challenge though, would be having the patience to save up the credits you'd need to play for it (I calculate 126 needed to buy 7 challenges on 1 day, but someone else should probably check my math).

Saving up for the right day though, and hoping for a bit of challenge luck, I think, will make 10 in 1 day feel like a big accomplishment (which is always a good feeling laugh )....like completing "The Riddle" was for me.

Swap let me change my Difficult challenge and then the button disappeared. So I guess that means it worked like it is supposed to work.
