My Medium challenge today is: - Find five quizzes, online for over a month, that have fewer than 50 ratings. Play and rate them. Well I found one, played it got 1/10 and rated, but got no credit for it. There is nothing in the challenge saying the minimum number of questions you have to get correct.

You need to score at least 2/10 for your rating to count. Challenge or not, that's across the board so far as ratings are concerned.

I got the same challenge. smile

Mariamir is correct-- 2/10 (or 2/15, 2/20, etc.) is required to rate the quiz. This is done to avoid people purposely submitting without scoring, and trashing/inflating the ratings.

I don't find the Daily Challenge page very easy to find when I'm using my phone.

Would it be possible to include it under the "Games" tab as one of the daily games or is there somewhere more obvious that I'm missing?

Minor tweak suggestion for Expert nemesis challenge:

Instead of scoring the challenge at midnight, can it be scored at whichever of the following comes first:

* both players have exhausted their 4 Expert categories;
* at least one player has exhausted their 4 Expert categories and their best score has been beaten by the other player;
* midnight.

Sometimes the result is clear early in the day, so in these cases it would be great to finalise the challenge so there's not an "incomplete" against your name if you want to buy.

Cheers.

Hi. smile Just to let you know, page 28 of this thread also raises this suggestion. Current plans seem to be to keep the midnight scoring. pg 28 discussion: http://www.funtrivia.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/topics/834808/28 - starts near the end at post number #832204

I have a challenge-related but also general question..

When I was checking the brains list about 15 mins ago (2 am my time), it said that the final scores will be counted in "11 hours, 1 minute". I was a bit confused but considered that it maybe has to do with daylight savings or something. However, checked with a couple of daily games as well and it said "12 hours and 1 minute".
So until when will the overall daily scores be counted? Are brains scored an hour before the funtrivia day ends? Which time counts for the overall daily score? Thanks in advance...

Final scores for points-related challenges are set at 11:50 PM FT Time. The clock on the brains page is off by an hour, but it still scores at the correct time. I don't why the clock isn't synched with the rest of the site, but it does score when it's supposed to at 11:50 despite the clock discrepancy (scores don't reset when the Brains clock hits zero, but reset an hour afterward).

Removed the timer from that page. It is very old, from a time when we followed daylight savings.

My diffucult challenge today is to play six consecutive 10 question quizzes and get at least 8/10.

I was at two, and played a Tough quiz, which has come up with a check mark in the list, but it still says I've only done two in a row.

Where is it? I don't see it here:
http://www.funtrivia.com/games.cfm

Interestingly, it lists the Great Quiz Race as a daily game. And New Question Game is still listed as hourly.

That's weird. I see it right there in the first of the Daily games. Also, I can see it as the first on the "Games" drop down menu on Quizzyland, but not on the Forums side. confused

Oh! Now it's there. That's strange. crazy

But... New Question Game is still misplaced in the "Hourly" section.

And the Great Race should probably be in "Other" rather than "Daily".

And, true, it's not on the dropdowns on the Forums side, unless I'm crazy again.

Could this be fixed, please?

But...it's not exactly daily, either. Wasn't/isn't it every 6 hours?

The New Question Game is now Daily. It used to run more often for a while, but not hourly. It was several times a day, for which there is no separate category.

My Easy challenge for the day was to play a Newest Mixed Quiz and score at least xxx points. I played all the current available ones in HTML mode. I then went back and saw no credit was given. A more careful reading of the requirements showed I'd needed to play the quiz in PLAY mode. Not wanting to wait several hours and trying to test the system, I went back and replayed (!) one of the ones I'd just played and so knew the answers to. It was no challenge at all, let alone Easy, to reach the required minimum score. Should this challenge be one of those you can't have played the quiz before type? Had I waited, new quizzes would certainly have been offered, still leaving me the challenge to complete.

Very interesting, I'd always wondered about that. Usually, if I forget and okay in regular mode, I don't even think to then play in play mode. Never occurred to me to test that. Haha.

Nice catch, mehaul.

I don't know if this type exists at more difficult levels of challenge but now we know the answers can be found and scores can be achieved by playing in HTML mode then switching to PLAY mode and taking the quiz a second time.

That may only be true for Quizbot quizzes, which are a compilation of questions, and not for player-written quizzes. Those challenges usually specify that you cannot have played the quiz within the past 30 days.

I tried the Ten in a Day badge today and ended up with 2 challenges which are not decided until midnight [FT time] and I am therefore effectively blocked from buying further challenges - stalemate - any ideas?
