The MLB season has come to a close. Our own gtho4 takes top prize with his fifth Hall of Fame win, and he didn't get his fifth until the final week. Both spanishliz and srini tie him with five, but were down in the standings.
Our final Spoon goes to BxBarracuda, with his fifth, but no one came close to ozzz2002's NINE Spoons.
What will the postseason hold? For one, it will hold a new American League champion, as the Baltimore Orioles knock off the two-time defending champs in the play-in game. Will the 95 win Yankees win it or will it be the Athletics, who went on a tear in the second half? Preferably, I'd like to see neither of them; I'd rather it be Baltimore (  ) or Detroit. As for the National League, the Cardinals can continue to defend their pennant, as they beat the Atlanta Braves in their game.
Oakland did the unthinkable by winning all three against the Rangers and forced Texas to the wild card game. Go Tigers for that series!

Now all I've got left to hope for is a repeat... infield fly or no. Nothing against the Cardinals, as my family in Missouri are Cardinals fans, but the last three times they won the Series, someone on my dad's side of the family passed.
