A dog swimming pool at an All About Dogs show we went to. Some just dived in, some had to be tempted, and a couple went in and refused to get out again. No photo is available of me having to take my clothes off and borrow a swim suit to go in and get mine out!

This is an optical illusion, snapped in Quebec City a few years ago.

Mostly blue smile I attended a friend's christening over the weekend, and was impressed by the cake(s)!

What a shame Christina!
Its a lovely idea, that pool.
We have a party area here , for dogs, with slides and a lot of fun apparatus. There are also clothes shops and a birthday cake shop, all in one area. all for dogs. I have some photos somewhere. Can you imagine the Birthday parties?!

SpanishLiz, tell me more about the optical illusion. What's going on? I must know!

When I first looked I thought it was a mosaic.

This sign talks about the illusion, in two languages, but I'm not sure if you'll be able to see it and can't figure out how to make it zoom in... (new Photobucket, just getting used to it).

The idea was that all the little bits of paper looked like a pool of water with a high level, but you could walk along a little bridge and then see "under" the water. It was pretty cool in person.

I can read the sign. Thanks. smile

It looks pretty cool, all right! I would have liked to see it. Some installation work can be pure rubbish but when they work they are sooo fantastic and stay with you. Years ago there was an installation in Pearse St train station, Dublin, which is a Victorian roof with high eaves, and an artist had hung hundreds of tiny birdhouses, all different colours with something shiny on them, and they very subtly glittered and shone in the morning sunlight. Made the horrible rush hour commute to work a lot more bearable!
