World Cricket 2012 : Round 1 - Nov 1 to Nov 12
5 match ODI series between Sri Lanka and New Zealand
We select just one team for the entire round (and hope the players get to play all 5 matches :))
1. Pick a total of 6 players from the list of players given below. 2. You must pick 3 players from each team. 3. Pick 1 player from your team as "trump". 4. Your team of 6 MUST include at least 1 player from each sub-section (for example, you need not have all-rounder from Sri Lanka if you have 1 from NZl...you can then pick 2 batsmen from SL)
Scoring 1. Every run scored by the player you pick scores 1 point. 2. Every wicket taken by a bowler scores you 20 points. 3. Every catch/stumping by the player scores you 5 points. 4. NO points for run-outs please 5. The score of your trump player is doubled.
Teams:
New Zealand (announced): Batsmen: Ross Taylor (capt), Tom Latham, Brendon McCullum (wk), Rob Nicol, BJ Watling, Kane Williamson,

Am I allowed to argue the NZ classifications ;-)? For example, Williamson and McCullum are much more of an all-rounder than Franklin. But I assume you just wanted three all-rounders, so...
B.McCullum N.McCullum Taylor
Sangakkara Dilshan - TRUMP Herath

You mean Kane Williamson and Nathan McCullum? I would have thought the former was more a batsman who bowls off-spin occasionally while Nathan is more a bowler who can bat a bit....not sure if even cricinfo site classifies them as all-rounders...that way I should put Brendon McCullum as an allrounder too! I didnt really want to have just 3 all-rounders. but looks like it did turn out that way for this round OK, for next ODIs involving the Kiwis, I will put Williamson and McCullum in the all-rounders list

Not that important however, feel free to make a decision without my judgement :-)
