I enjoy watching crime shows on Investigation Discovery. A few of my favorites are:

"Sins and Secrets,” “Deadly Affairs,” “Deadly Women,” “Most Evil,” “The New Detectives,” “Behind Mansion Walls,” “Blood Relatives,” “Unusual Suspects" and “Fatal Encounters.”

Of those type shows, I tend to watch Forensic Files, Dominick Dunne's Power, Privilege, and Justice, Body of Evidence, and The Investigators.

There have been three episodes of Forensic Files that were cases in and around the DFW area. All three of the perpetrators are on Texas' death row.

Oh my mother-in-law loves all of those. Me, I'd rather have scripted crime shows! I get too much of the real thing at work and reading the paper! wink

Holby Blue? Er, gone the way of all cops shows, Ren, to the great uniformed scrap heap in the sky.

My mother doesn't understand why I like the shows I do (I've been known to watch "Snapped," too, though I haven't for a while).

I may or may not watch my first episode of "Blood, Lies and Alibis" later

I've tried the more fictional shows, like "Law and Order," but I simply can't follow them (I'll read a book before I try that again)

Yes probably, in the civilised, up-to-date world, but this is Hong Kong where we get to see everything at least 5 years old.

They're showing reruns of "Blood Relatives," and I was excited about that last night, but now I've decided to watch other stuff instead (a comedy on Disney channel, "my favorite movie..." Oh, and another show I've rarely watched since moving in here.)

"Final Witness" premieres Monday, and the new season of "The Homicide Hunter" starts Tuesday.

There's a whole new season of shows starting. "Final Witness" is one of the ones that started already, as well as a new season of "The Homicide Detective." Today I saw an ad for the start of a new season of "The Will."

Forgot to add that I like some of the programs on The Biography Channel, like "Notorious" and "Women Behind Bars."

Tuesday saw "Into the Abyss" airing on my channel. At first, I was unsure whether I wanted to view the whole two and a half hours, as it was slow moving, but about halfway through I was riveted (and it's more that I wasn't paying attention in the beginning).

Another new program, “Sin by Silence,” aired on Wednesday. I’ve always been fascinated by the topic of domestic violence, and I was impressed by the way these inmates came up with the idea to educate the public. A fast-paced, moving and inspirational hour!

Never heard of any of those, but I love Inspector Morse.

Last week when I was viewing online videos, I stumbled across a program called "FBI: Critical Incident." I've always liked "Criminal Pursuit," but never heard of the other one.

Another older program on that channel is playing early tomorrow--it's called "I Escaped." I heard of "I Almost Got Away With It," but... (episodes of that, incidentally, are playing this eeek).

The season finale of "Deadly Affairs" is this Saturday, and I finally watched my first full episode of "Final Witness" today. Reminds me strongly of "Stolen Voices," except that "Final Witness" is longer (one hour instead of half an hour).

I've watched every episode of Forensic Files on Netflix.
Loved it.
I've also watched Midsomer Murders on Netflix.
Does anybody know if it is still on the air?

Midsomer Murders? Yes, that's still going. They have murdered more people in that small village than the number of hot dinners provided for the elderly.

There are so many crime shows on our televisions these days. Personally, I prefer true crime documentaries rather than shows that focus on fictional crimes. One that I remember watching a few years ago is "Crime Investigation Australia". If anyone's interested, the episodes of this show are available on YouTube.

If you're into true crime, ElusiveDream, try "Forensic Files" on YouTube.

"Forensic Files" airs every day here in Australia on the Crime & Investigation Channel

BTW ElusiveDream forget "Crime Investigation Australia" try watching "Crimes That Shook Australia" that way better than the other show plus it's recent
