A Team member (Australian Players) brought to my attention that one of our most active Team threads (Who Am I) has mysteriously disappeared.

It was there when I looked in the morning yesterday but by afternoon (Aussie time) it was gone.

I know I didn't delete it and am trying to find out why it is not there anymore.

ozfei, I clicked on that late last night, well after you say it had disappeared. It half loaded but stopped about halfway down the page. Then it disappeared from the Message Board totally. I swear I didn't do anything!

Do you happen to have a link to the thread as a bookmark or in your browser history?

If you could find the URL I could better track it down.

Tizzabelle, the logs show you deleting one thread on the Aussie board on Dec 2, which it allowed because you are an editor.

Was that intentional? Do you recall deleting a thread?

Or did you accidentally delete a thread... presumably the one posted here?

Sorry Terry, I don't usually participate in that thread.
I only access it from the Team Message Board.

December 2 was yesterday our time. I was the title of the missing thread on my iPad when I was at work at about 10 or 11pm. I click on the title, waited for it to load which it half did, then vanished. But the time I was looking at it was after ozfei said it had already disappeared. I certainly never intentionally deleted anything. The one time I tried (months ago) to edit something in one of my own messages for a typo or similar, I couldn't do it, so I've never tried since.

Not sure if this is what you need Terry, but one of our Team members gave this link form his recent history.

Yep, that's the one Tizza accidentally deleted.

No big deal! My fault -- I'll add an intermediary screen in there to stop that from happening again.

Oh the shame! I thought I'd been so careful with my sausagey fingers after I deleted all my mail in Quizzyland with a microscopic touch of the trackpad a few months ago. Now this! Those iPads are so sensitive. So sorry Boss! I'll go sit in the naughty chair for a while.

I'm fairly certain one or two of them can read so they'll find out here anyway. I swear I must have touched the delete button with about 3 skin cells. Silly iPad! I'll blame Apple! As much as I love the iPad, typing on it is painful, especially when trying to correct something. You can't get the cursor to go where you want, but if you don't want to touch something, there's a magnet pulling your finger towards it..

Typing on it is terribly painful. A keyboard helps, but that still doesn't prevent the infinite misclicks that occur.

I'd create a new one.

There have been lost threads: from teams, chat and the Forums; there have been lost questions and quizzes from the authoring area. Maybe the exercise of certain site powers should only be allowed from PC platforms? Seems like the dexterity required to be as safe as those old battleships provided isn't the same sure thing with the new small touch pad machines. Just a thought.
