Please help me decipher what exactly this means

Requirements for badge state:

"Play against the entirety of the FunTrivia player base (to not make it too easy, we require at least 100 participants) in the average mixed-topic game."

But I don't get the 'everyone' bit. Classes show:

(1-7) (8-20) (21-30) (31-47) (48-61) (62-200) (1000-1000) (All)

I won last hours (62 - 200) category and according to the lists I also won the 'All' category.

I'm presuming the (1000-1000) category is the reason I didn't win the badge but who are these people? We don't have anyone with levels higher than 1000!

And if they are included shouldn't they show up in the 'All' list. Pure logic says that whoever wins the 'All' categories should win the badge.

I would like to go for this badge but need to know who I'm up against.

They are champs. They're not listed when you click the 'All' tab (probably an oversight), but they do count.

Any chance that someone could tweak it to include these in the 'All' division.

Would be nice to see all the scores against each other to know where you are (and if you have any hope!)

Here's what I have in the header area for the Mixed Trivia hourly game home page:

Level Divisions: [ 0-7 ] [ 8-20 ] [ 21-30 ] [ 31-47 ] [ 48-61 ] [ 62-200 ] [ Champions ] (All)


besides the Champs/1000 level difference, I see the first level as different too. Where I have 0-7, you have 1-7.

I am using a PC browser (IE). Are you using a mobile browser?

When you click on "all" for last hour (which lists 1-7), it doesn't include "1000-1000". When you click on "all" for the main screen (which is the current hour and lists 0-7), it includes "Champions".

On the last hour screen "all" should link to override=1-1000 instead of override=1-180. Also when you click "last hour's scores" it goes to your division's scores instead of the division you're looking at; apparently the levlow and levhigh stuff doesn't work.

If you're in the champion division in Word Wizard and FMI and click on "last hour's scores" it goes to your level group instead of the champion division; presumably this is linked to the fact that when you click on these games from the main page it does the same.

Fixed "last hour" to include champs in "All", and also title "Champs" correctly.

Terry, can you do the same for Word Wizard as well please...sorry to change the topic but since you're on a roll. Thank you!

I should have checked this too before I sent my earlier note but now see that "All" doesn't include the champions on Piece of Cake either for previous hour's score. Your work is never done! Thanks for looking after WW.

Well, since you asked...

How about a Team scores button on the Mind Melt and Pot of Gold game pages? And a separate Team scores button for the hard/champ division on Who Am I (that one might be tricky to do). And perhaps a note on who won the weekly PoG badge on Last Week's Weekly Scores so that we can all offer congratulations.

Yeah, I think you wanted to make Fill Me In a team game, right? (Ha, worth a shot while you are energized).

While you are fixing things, please include an option for a front page that looked like the one April 2012 before you starting "tweaking". Each successive change has added to my frustration, and now I find the front page extremely difficult to read and use.

My requests for changes and about bugs have frequently been overlooked. And yet a couple of people complain about their tablet use and voila! Instant fix. So excuse me if I'm a little frustrated that I can't even use the front page now.

I didn't see a lecture. Just a fact of your posts. You seem to demand and complain a lot without any "gracious" responses. How about some positive posts? I am certainly grateful for Terry's hard work on this web site in general.

I'm certainly not going to pretend, however, to be grateful for the increase of my level of frustration on this site, which has been growing steadily since the first interface changes were made back in the spring. I requested then for the option to have the old interface and was ignored then, too.

Yes, one more, if you please. Please include an option to have the front page use the interface and layout that was available in the early spring of 2012. The successive changes that have been made to the layout since April 2012 or thereabouts, although they seem to have improved the site for others, have increasingly made the site difficult for me to use. Thanks.

Then follow your own advice and stop making negative comments yourself, stop making personal attacks, and stop presuming to lecture others on how they should post. The last time I checked, you are not in charge of this forum.
