Is anyone else having any trouble staying logged in? This has never happened before and it might be the connection in this motel, but when I get to the home page it "knows" me, but then when I go somewhere else it welcomes a guest and/or asks me to log in.

OR, is it something I'm doing wrong?

I can't get to the Daily Challenge this morning because when I go there it tells me it's "available for only logged in players" and this is right after I've logged in. I'm getting frustrated!

For the past few days, I had problems with the Forums keeping me logged in, but today all is back to normal. (Only happened on my desktop (XP). The laptop (Windows 7) was fine.

This is what happens when Terry updates the Forums software, which he said he was doing a few days ago. At least I know now that it's not just me it doesn't like. wink

I haven't had any problems over in Quizzyland though.

The old cookie could have expired as well. Doing what Terry said above will clear that.

I really don't think I know how to do that. However, I had to get going so gave up on the Daily Game and got back on the road.

Tonight, at a new motel a few hundred miles away, that's no longer happening. But, and I assume this has to do with their reception/speed/something or another and not with Trivvyland, things are sloooooow. So slow that, after playing one of the hourly games, I played a game of Spyder waiting for it to show the score so I could move on. After losing the Spyder game I went back to FunTrivia and it still hadn't closed out that game so I clicked on refresh...got a big Zero on that game because of it.

Oh well, I hadn't done well, anyway, but not THAT bad!

I'll be home in a day or two and things will be better. I hope!

Thanks, dg,

but as I replied to Terry's message, I gave it up and moved on west.

Thanks for the help...all of you!

I did find a page that consistently logs me out, or at least appears to, in that my username is replaced with "New Player" in the top right corner:

http://www.funtrivia.com/theworld.cfm

But then if I click on a link on the page, I appear to be logged back in again.

There are a handful of pages on the site that have a fixed guest header instead of the dynamic login header. Generally, these are pages that are created by a script (which runs as a guest) every week or month (or even just once) and then served from a cached copy.

Some of the Global Challenge Hall of Fame pages have the same issue - this can safely be ignored. It does not affect your actual login status.
