Sorry, that's one of the automatic subnet blocks that only Terry can do anything about. He may accidentally have entered something that the system didn't like or someone on his network may have misbehaved.

It'll clear up in a few hours if Terry doesn't get to it first. (Terry, recent IP from just a few mins ago is logged on his account)

I just checked my messages and saw this note from RJ.

"I am blocked from the site and only Terry can unblock me.

My guess is I'm blocked because my cat stood on my keyboard after I signed on and left the room for a cup of coffee. When I came back into the room and removed the cat from the keyboard, I noticed my name was on the board for TvT and I was locked out with Error 403 displayed. The rapid scrolling caused by the cat on the keyboard apparently triggered an automatic blocking of my IP address. I found an anonymous proxy that would allow me to sign on and tell someone of my plight.

Please help."

Don't panic Dave, he's probably sitting on his porch having a few brews and mellowing out whilst the problem gets sorted.
Whilst you sound in need of some yoga. Close your eyes, imagine yourself on RJ's porch, breathe calmly and deeply through your nose out through your mouth.
Now imagine a beer in your fist.

You're not giving Terry enough time between your comments. No matter how anxious someone is to get to this site, it still takes time. I'm guessing Terry's not at his computer, on FunTrivia, 24/7

I think we might need a strait jacket and a shot. Your distress rockets and flares have been noted, now you just have to wait. Screaming will just give you a sore throat.

That's MY guy! He's locked out, and the team needs him. It might be seen as "too dramatic", but that's my guy, Flopsy! It just is! When you're on my team, I'll go to the end of the Earth for you! I'll go that way for my old TVC-ers, too! I know them. They are in my charge!

He's got chores you know, can't be on trivia with his mates all the time.
It's probably a Sign that he needed to go and rope something or ride something instead of being glued to his seat.

Cubswin, the chances of my being on the same team as you are less than zero so I'll never know what you might do for me. The very idea is almost enough to turn me to religion.

He has cats and dogs and horses, he should be grateful that it wasn't a random polo pony standing on the keyboard. That would have been harder to fix.

Terry will get to RJ in due course. I was locked out for almost 20 hours one
day last year. In the interim, here's a story about a dog eating a passport:

Quote:
Cardiff Blues: Jason Tovey's puppy eats his passport
11 January 2013

A Welsh rugby star has had to pull out of an important match in France after his puppy chewed up his passport. Jason Tovey, 23, was all packed and ready to go to the airport to fly to Toulon to play for Cardiff Blues when he found his ruined passport.

He said he was dreading telling his coach that he could not play in the Heineken Cup game on Saturday. "It's a bit like the old schoolboy excuse that the dog ate my homework," he added. The outside half's Labrador puppy Buster had even left his teeth marks on the passport, which now has gaping holes in it. "Buster is always chewing things but usually it's my sock and shoes," said Tovey. "As soon as I saw the passport I thought I'd never get through airport security with it. "I was dreading telling my team coach, I didn't think anyone would believe."

He was due to face England star Jonny Wilkinson's Toulon team but will instead have to watch the game on the television. Tovey will also have to pay £103 for a new passport ready for his team's next match abroad. He added: "I'll be keeping it on my top shelf - well out of the way of Buster's sharp teeth." A Cardiff Blues spokesman said: "Jason rang to say what happened - he's in the doghouse."

I happen to like religion. It gives me what little strength I have left. You? Unprintable. I don't like you, either. Period! We WON the Battle of Yorktown! BTW, RJ is on MY team, NOT yours now! Now I see why!

Yeah, I know, Kyle. "Don't feed the trolls", but Flopsy really IRATES me! She's a snippy Brit who needs to be taken down USA-style!

Yep, the cat was the culprit. That cat had the screen scrolling so fast I thought at first it was a strobe light when I first entered the nearly dark room.
It's not the first time that cat has landed me in a predicament. I suppose suspicious input by felines is just as apt to trigger the dreaded 403 forbidden access as any other earthly creature. Thanks for your help and I apologize for the kerfuffle.

I've never heard of the battle of Yorktown. Or Yorktown for that matter.
Off to google again.
Cubs, do please have a nice cold beer with RJ and relax.

Oh, how deliciously American!
The Americans won the Battle of Yorktown? What about the French? They seem to have been half of the team on your side.
Is that me being a Snippy Brit, or a Pedantic Historian?
Good night, sleep well.

Wow, Mom, Wow.

Cubs, is it true the squeaky wheel always gets the grease? And if someone, anyone, disagrees with you on any topic, do you always make certain they know you do NOT LIKE THEM! and they IRRITATE YOU! and are ON YOUR LIST! Do you toss your Cheerios on the floor, too, and then stomp on them until someone responds to your tantrums and cleans up your messes? I'm an Aunt, and that doesn't even work with me when my two-year-old nephew tries it. And he's still cute!

Flopsy is certainly not a "snippy Brit" and who are you to judge? I LIKE Flopsy quite a bit, but I don't LIKE you insulting her. Do you kind of see how this works? It's not all about you, all the time. You just think it is, and for the life of me, I cannot figure out why.

I've seen you flatout threaten people in here for not agreeing with you. I realize the worst you could do is "type them to death," but still, it's rude, crude and socially unacceptable to threaten people, on or offline. I have no clue how or why you continue to get away with it. You baffle me. And I'm certain you do NOT LIKE ME! and oddly, I'm okay with that. What would it say about me if you actually liked me? You're entertaining in an odd sort of way, but my feelings are ambivalent.

I think we all understand your undying love for RJ, and since he's played on just about all our teams in the last year or so, we all know and love him, too. But he has to be the yin to your yang. While you are close to, if not fully hyperventilating, trust me, he's out in the stock tank, smoking a cigar and drinking a beer. Or maybe some Cuervo. I'm all for throwing a bucket of cold water on you, but probably for different reasons. But hey, anything that will get you breathing in AND out again, and maybe cause a wee bit of separation, and ease your separation anxiety.

Ever tried to herd cats? It doesn't work, and mine just love to tap dance across my laptop keyboard just as I load a timed quiz. Luckily, they generally are very fast and extremely accurate, never forgetting to hit submit, so it works out well for me.

I hope everyone can calm down again now that RJ has returned, especially Cubs. Geaux Big Red! Geaux Cowbeaus! Geaux whatever team you are now playing on! Upward and Onward! Let's all have a big, fat, fun year in Trivia! And Kyle? I am being nice, I swear I am! I'm always nice, dang it. Ask anyone.

~Elle
