Dot: looks like a bit of a blustery day (said Eeyore), but nice capture. What are those white buildings in the lower left?

Jake, the white buildings are the houses in the street that lead up to the castle. You can see by the lamp posts that I had to raise the camera high to capture the castle. The castle itself is on a hill that sticks out to sea. A good vantage point to see enemy's coming.

Another building atop a hill, this is St. Nicholas Chapel on Lantern Hill, Ilfracombe, North Devon.
I can't remember how windy it was on the day but the flag suggests that there was some. smile

Nice tigger pic Christina!

I see stripes, so here's some of a different colour ...

Grevy's Zebra (Equus grevyi)
Their stripes are actually dark brown, not black (despite how they might appear in this photo lol)

That's a fantastic photo, so striking and beautiful. I love it.

From animal patterns to patterned paper cranes.

Cranes are birds, and those from Chavs have a black and white pattern, so here's a black and white bird

This bird was singing a beautiful song and allowed me to get very close to take this picture.

More (mainly) black and white - the Potzdamer Platz in Berlin at night. A spectacular sight!

This Thunderbolt has plenty of black and white on it, including the black and white stripes they
used on allied aircraft during and after D-Day to make it easier to distinguish between
friendly & enemy aircraft.

Stripes on a hoverfly.

(I think this is Helophilus pendulus, nicknamed "The Footballer" by some because the stripes are reminiscent of a soccer kit, allegedly. I may have put this pic up in one of the monthly threads, can't recall now, but apologies for the repeat if so.)

Nice photo Chavs. (If you tilt your head to the left, the hoverfly looks like an alien carrying a large plate. smile )

lol! It does too!

Gosh, thanks for those nice comments. There's a lot to be said for a lucky shot smile and the crop facility on MSpaint (and 50 out-takes lol!).
