When you have guests it might be a fun idea to start a 'The Bathroom Guest Register'.

Have your all your friends and guests sign the book and leave a little note. They write their thoughts, tell a joke, a bit of trivia, etc. It will be a unique and fun way for everyone to leave a little something of themselves behind. You will be surprised at how much you will end up cherishing your little bathroom book. :)

How to make your bathroom more enjoyable and inviting?
Get in before your husband.
Seriously though, folks. Coming from an island nation to a city far from the ocean (although there are some lovely lakes and rivers) - I've tried to recreate the sea. All toiletry holders (ie toothbrush holder, q tip and cottenwool containers, etc) are white with blue seashells painted on. Big shells hold soaps or small shells. White and blue towels and I'm on the lookout for a clear shower curtin with blue sea things on.
Seaweed bath salts, beach music, hot bath = heaven.
If the ocean isn't your thing, maybe decorating in something you're passionate about. Doesn't have to cost much.

Wonderful and delightful decorating tips Donnar!!

Decorative touches for a bathroom cetainly makes your bathroom more unique, interesting and enjoyable. Here are a few additional ideas:

Hand an extravagant wallpainting on one wall, for a dramatic focal point in the bath area.

Heated towel bars keep linens toasty, great on a chilly morning!

Stock up on all kinds toiletries that help to make you feel pampered.

I like putting a big scented candle in the bathroom and take a long bubble bath by candle light.

Decorate according to what time of year it is. I have started doing that with my bathroom. I have different towels that I put out. Darker ones for Fall and Winter and lighter ones for Spring and Summer. I also have Christmas towels for the Holidays. I put out candels, and tissue boxes also according to the season. Changing the shower liner to a different color every so often can also make a difference. Oh yeah, and the soap dispenser too.

Why in the world would anyone want to make a bathroom inviting and attractive? I take a shower, brush my teeth, do my business and I'm out of there. Clean is all I expect to see and smell when I open the door.
What are you going to do, invite people in have a cocktail?
Women!!

Actually having a cocktail in a bubble bath with the one you love is a lot of fun. You should try it. You might not run out of the bathroom so fast anymore. And it's not just a woman thing, my bathroom partners have always looked forward to our bubble baths complete with candles, soft music and champagne. Opps, I am letting my romantic side show again.

I would invite fjohn to read the first two lines of my first entry.
We've been house hunting recently and are considering putting a bid on one. It's not really my cup of tea, but the main bathroom has a jucuzzi (spelling?) with plenty of room for candles and champagne. mmmmmmm

With Spring upon us, I thought I would see if any of you have any ideas on how to bring a touch of Spring into our bathrooms.

To tell you the truth I'm kind of with fjohn. However, I wouldn't mind a bit for a built in PC hooked to the Web, Refrig. Satellite Dish with all the Sports channels including all the "Spice" Channels, bubble bath hot tub.

For myself, the way to make a bathroom more inviting is to make sure it is as clean and spick and span as possible. I have a jacuzzi tub and my favorite pastime (especially after a hard day's work) is to soak in it with candlelight and soft music playing. I particularly like CD's and tapes with nature sounds and the relaxing sound of the surf rolling into shore.

Say, did'nt there used to be a magazine called "The Bathroom Reader"?

T.V.s and stereos in the bathroom? Well, thats one way to get the frizzies if that stuff falls into the water! Last I heard, water and electricity don't mix very well!

Hey Pling! How about adding a copy of "Dantes Inferno" to your bathroom book case? It'll be appropriate reading for those nights you regret overdoing it on the mexican food!

Welcome to Useful Tips and Tricks and FunTrivia Beth-Ann. Sounds like you have the perfect set up in your bathroom to relax and forget about the day. Add a few drops of Lavender oil to your water and try not to fall asleep in the tub if you can.
