I'm getting close to finishing a quiz about historical calendars, but I'm not exactly sure where to place it. I'm leaning towards 'World History' or possibly 'Specialized History' - 'Ancient' doesn't work because it goes at least upwards to the 1700s. 'Famous Dates' seems like a good choice but it is about the dating systems, not the dates themselves.

Any ideas where it might fit best?

This subcat in Sci/Tech looks like a good fit. There's already a calendar quiz in there, plus a few on measuring time:

Wow, thank you very much. Never occurred to me to check out Sci/Tech at all.

If it was me I'd probably pop it into Humanities

I admit to considering the Miscellaneous category in Humanities, but now I rather like the Sci/Tech because if nothing else it helps me get one closer to the Ten/Fifteen Categories badge.

Miscellaneous in Humanities is not a catch-all for quizzes you can't fit anywhere else! If you look at the quizzes we already have there, you will see the kind of thing that fits in. A quiz on calendars doesn't sound to me like a Humaniteis quiz at all, although I can't be certain without seeing it.

If the approach is based on the construction and use of the calendars, then Sci/Tech sound good. If you choose to approach the quiz as a history of calendars, discussing why different ones were used or introduced at different times, you might consider History : Specialised History : Social History.

I can take a look at it in Sci/Tech and if it doesn't make a decent fit, I'll send it over to History. One of these two it is from the description.

After considering looney_tunes' comment, I'm moving it back to History - it is very heavily swayed towards the historical aspect, not the mechanisms that calendars are based on. Sorry for any confusion, Wes
