Anyone got any ideas about how to creep up on a twin challenge total? Obviously one can do quick quiz questions, but that is in 10 point increments. What if I need 9? or 5? or 1?

Any thoughts?

Instaquizzes. The regular ones are 2 points a question and the Gold ones are 3 points a question. If you need one point, it might be best if you contact your Twin and ask them to score a few more so you have a larger number and more options to work with to gain points.

What has worked really well for me is to contact the other person (especially if he/she appears to be playing) and attempt to both get a total score that ends with an identical number. Then, you can both play quizzes that earn you 150 pts for a perfect score, get close to identical scores, or close to 2500 apart. Finally, get to your desired total by playing the quick quiz. If you are willing to take the time to play enough games in order to get a matching last digit, it is surprisingly easy to get the needed 'twin' total.

It's at the bottom of the drop down menu of Games.

Play the two team games at 100 pts apiece, and two Newest Mixeds at 150 apiece and you have 500 points. If you check your DC first thing and see the Twin, go to 500 points and let your twin match it. You can substitute a My Daily Quiz set for an easy level of a favorite category and earn 150 points instead of one of the Newest Mixeds if the Newest Mixeds are all Tricky or Harder and you are worried about not getting all 10 correct. Take the Newest Mixeds in HTML so you can look up correct answers.

Other point bumpers are International Quizzes for 30 pts apiece and 100 points apiece for Global Challenge * and ** Cats/ You might want to avoid the hourly game choices until the twin is met. Those games give odd points and make earning the Twin much more difficult than it has to be. Another odd point source is taking the Newest Mixeds in PLAY mode and that can mess scoring up. Avoid that, IMHO.

I think that you have to click the "Scores" option there -- otherwise it sometimes takes you to a game with the wrong number of points. Guest games earn 2 points, Gold Member games earn 3 points (if I recall correctly).
