There is an error in the Brain Twist today. Here is the result:

Question 1: Shabby poet
Your Answer drab bard Incorrect
The correct answer is drab bard.
70% of players have answered correctly.

My answer matches the correct answer, yet it was marked wrong?

The only thing I can think of is that you had 2 spaces between "drab" and "bard". Brain Twist was set to mark that as wrong.

I have fixed, so that spaces in between words are ignored.

Did I have two spaces? That was inadvertent! Thanks for fixing it, Terry!

I don't think I've seen this happen before. Are extra spaces ignored, then, in Fill-Me-In and in quizzes with FITB questions?

They will be now. That's what Terry was just saying he has fixed. It used to be that if you had extra spaces in your answer it would be counted as incorrect.

Yes, all spaces are ignored in regular quizzes. Brain twist had an old scoring method which would mark extra spaces incorrect.

Does that mean that if you inadvertently omit the space, it will now show as correct?

I ask this as the space bar on the laptop hates me and does not work half the time and I sometimes forget to look to make sure the spaces are there:(

I think I had the opposite problem in today's Brain Twist:

Question 2: The sinister Orkian alien, Mork, turned the toxic ray on the assembly.
Your Answer crayon Incorrect
The correct answer is Crayon .

It looks like there is an extra space after the answer that may have caused it to mark mine incorrect. 88% of players answered correctly, so could this be caused by the recent fix?

Yes, it was "They Broke Into Pieces" by Pegbshack.

I had just noticed that there was a space between the answer, "Crayon," and the period that didn't appear on the other answers. It might be fine when played in regular quiz mode, hence the 88% correct, and it only causes a problem when played as a Brain Twist.

I checked out that quiz with the possible spaces after 'crayon'. It did seem to have a couple of spaces after the word. I've removed them (if you can remove nothing wink ) so hopefully all is well now! smile
