Tiny suggestion, if I may.

Currently, mega-badges have 6 in a row before moving to a new row.

Could we perhaps change it to only 5 mega-badges per row? As it stands, 5 fits so beautifully in line with the other badge rows. The 6th kinda juts out and looks out of place.

It's not a huge deal, obviously, but I think it would make the profile pages look a bit cleaner, more uniform.

Actually, there are seven in the row, Salami. Just saying... I agree that the symmetry is off, though.

Are you sure? I see only 7 total mega-badges on your profile, and 6 of them are on the first line, and the 7th is moved down. I have plenty of screen space, so it isn't forcing it down...

In any case, 5 is equivalent in size to the regular badges, for which there is 7 per line.

So, 10 mini-badges per line, 5 mega-badges per line, and 7 regular badges per line, is ideal.

Huh, interesting, you're right. There are 7 in the row. I just expanded my screen. I've played on larger screens before, and I've never noticed all 7 being in the same row before.

Ok, so there are 7 in the row. I'm guessing it's either set up to 7 or 10 like the mini and regular badge rows, or not set up at all (so if, in the future, someone has 12 mega-badges, they'd all be on the same row).

In any case, 5 is best. :P

Pam's is 7 in a row on my screen too. It must be you, Salami. wink

Oh never mind, I was too slow submitting. As you were, young Salami.

I remember flopsy posting a request along these lines quite a while ago. There may be reasons why it is not as simple as it may look to us.

Besides widening your screen, the converse action of narrowing the screen will result in only 5 badges being in a row as was originally requested. It's like the old listening adage, "You may be hearing what is said but to listen means to apply the thought process to the words being said." So the site may present icons but it is up to the user to define how that data is read. I thought Swamis knew that. smile

Mehaul, there was an issue with this in the past with regular badges, before mini and mega existed. It showed ten to a line (I think ten). Some people shrank their screen and it had 7 then 3 on the lines. But those who had to scroll to see the profile badges did not like it. It made the screen look odd. (Well, so does having a row of 7, then 3, then 7 again).

Yes, I could shrink my screen a bit to get five in a row, but that makes it adder for me to see questions elsewhere.

Also, I can't shrink the iPad... It's stuck at 7 in the row, and I'd like only five. smile

Ah, you've stumbled on the perfect solution! An iPad built like a slideruler/slipstick, widen the actual display device to suit your needs. And then when the flexible cloth screens arrive, you'd be able to unroll just enough screen to see the images the way you want.

PS I remember the old thread and it still pops up every once in a while like when the HTML boxes get redefined from square corners to round corners and back again. And other browser non-standardized points of page construction come into play. Keeps Terry going to his heart specialist I bet!

Lol, I don't remember how long ago it was when regular badges went to seven a row. I had thought it was before you were a member. Guess not. wink
