Kobe Bryant, the superstar shooting guard for the Los Angeles Lakers, was taken off of the court in yesterday's win over the Golden State Warriors. The MRI today has shown that he has a fully ruptured Achilles tendon and he will have to undergo immediate surgery. His recovery is expected to be between 6 to 9 months, and this may spell an end to his amazing career. After years of pushing himself above and beyond the call of duty (remember, winning the NBA Finals with a broken finger), at his age, he may have to consider stepping down. I, personally, hope he recovers, comes back, and posts amazing numbers again, but, this may be the end of an era.

Sounds like an injury my boss had about a month ago. He's wearing a boot to walk around, even though he shouldn't be walking!

(Coincidentally: it was the same Achilles that Kobe tore)
