Thanks again to everyone who contributes here as I'm so enjoying all of your photos and so happy to see the bluebells:) Does anyone have one of wisteria which is in bloom right now? It covered the back of the house I grew up in and has fond memories for me.

Love the bluebells, Christnap, they are carpeting the woods here too, as are all the wildflowers just coming into bloom.

Your canal looks ever so peaceful, TW!

Thanks Martin. This was the best view of today, the North Downs near Walderslade

I've got some from a few years ago but if it's out again I may take a new one, I may well have added the other one already.

I am not quite back home from the North Island yet and will have a lot of photos to go through but here is a pukeko at Pukekura Park in New Plymouth.

Thanks Satguru, that would be great. Love the 'daisies' and I've never seen anything like the pukeko before, fascinating!

These are the practice boats for the Dragon Boat Festival. The teams were out on Sunday, getting ready for the great events.

As it's raining and I don't think the wisteria's out yet here's another I haven't added from 2007, although being April ours should be, but it's been far colder this year so probably running late.

No idea why that's happening, I'll have to use Photobucket unless someone can sort that out.

I am glad you were able to sort it David. I get the feeling I would have messed it up!
Nice place. I like the round window.

That's a great picture Satguru, thanks for finding it. I'm always amazed when those beautiful purple flowers, hanging like bunches of grapes, appear on what looked like near to dead wood just a short time before.
We have dragon boat races here too Ren, but probably not so many boats as over there.

The wisteria is lovely!

We have a very active Dragon Boat club here, with a recreational group and a competitive section. The latter sent teams to Singapore a few years ago. I had a go with the recreational group several times a couple of years ago, but as I don't swim (at least not very well) I was never really comfortable. I'll stick to watching smile

I was surprised this morning when my bus took an unexpected detour. Turns out that this bridge, built in 1930, is "sick" and the buses aren't allowed to go over it until it is "better". It's safe for cars, but not big trucks and buses, and my driver said it might be a couple of years before it is!

Thanks everyone, the garden season is also arriving so will be walking around NW11 as every year as they do change from one year to another so get a different set every time I go looking.

These are the North Downs in Knockholt

I am finally back frommy vacation so now need to sort through all the photos I took. Quickly added this one to flickr so here is a New Zealand fur seal from Ohau Point just north of Kaikoura on the South Island's east coast.
