At sunrise this morning the moon was getting close to setting. Times like this, I wish I had a better camera. Close-ups are just not any good with it.

Ooh, I've missed some lovely pictures while I've been away! Here is a picture from my hotel bedroom.

Looks nice and warm there Dot.

One of the things I love at this time of year is when the cow parsley comes out en masse in my old orchard.

I'll guess Morocco Dot, and see how close I am (or not).

This is back to my original theme when I first got the camera, architecture in Hampstead Garden Suburb.

Clara Sue - that's just perfect as it is. The photo makes me want to be there. I'd love to be able to take a photo of the moon like that photo.

Howie, that's a very unusual tree, to me anyway. Is it supposed to look like that? Lovely picture.

Love that flower and the color!

This is an M4A3 Sherman Tank, "Ol War Horse" from WWII.

I have no idea what that tree is.

Here is the last of the St Anne's Lagoon photos that I shall post. One of the resident black swans.

This bird was a hotel resident and flew aggressively at any other bird that came near!

North African coast is probably good enough, I've only seen Morocco and it was very similar.

I've had quite a big flock of starlings, adults and babies, in the garden the last couple of days and some of them decided to take a good old splash in my water feature

After leaving St Anne's Lagoon and travelling over the Hundalees, we came across Goose Bay....this is looking back south. To the left is the Pacific Ocean and to the right (out of sight) is State Highway One and the start (or end) of the Hundalees.

This is the M107 175MM Self-Propelled Howitzer. It could be fired out to a range of nearly 33 KM. It was used to provide long-range fires during the Vietnam war. The large spade at the rear helped absorb and direct the tremendous recoil.

I bought this gardenia plant in the pound shop months ago and all the buds fell off. It has now produced a flower, somewhat distorted but a flower. With no sense of smell I can't smell it, more is the pity.

The baby starlings are quite cute. It takes them a few weeks to develop the shiny feathers that the adults have, so it's quite easy to pick them out for a while.
