I joined a "Jane's Walk" today, learning some of the history of Downtown Belleville. This photo was taken as I walked to the starting point of the walk, however, and shows City Hall in the sunshine of a beautiful May day.

A 'white elephant' made up of discarded household white goods. It was constructed by a local *person and displayed at the annual borough show. She said it was made to promote recycling.

Edit: Changed the word artist to person. She never did call herself that. Nonetheless, it's an interesting item. Made me look anyway. smile

I've been through that station a couple of thousand times, but I've never seen it from the outside before (nor have I ever understood why every single train on the Hastings-London run stops there).

It was quite busy yesterday, plenty of people coming and going. It's quite suburban there but must have quite a demand, East Finchley was my station and nearly the entire train got on and off there every day despite being six more stations beyond it.

My broad beans and sprouts are now planted out, and pea sticks are in ready for them to go out in a few days time.

I haven't ridden my bike up the hill in the distance this year. I maybe could still do it. It was given the nickname of 'Heart Attack Hill' by my brother an good number of years ago. Probably not hard to see why. smile It gets very steep and stony near the top.

All of a sudden all the trees have blossoms! This is late this afternoon, after a heavy shower of rain a couple of hours earlier.

Liz, that tree is just gorgeous.

Satguru, love Penshurst, the gardens at Penshurst Place are spectacular.

I was pleased to get a pic of that tree when I did. The blossoms go so quickly!

I got a new toy! A water and shock resistant little FujiFilm XP60, ready to take with me when I go zip lining later this year (if I don't chicken out...). Just taking a few experimental pics today, including this one of my favourite model smile

Liz, that camera has great sharpness, and for a pretty nice price. I might add that Lady P knows how to hold a pose, too. smile

David's photo are as informative as ever as regards a street tour of the UK.

That's an impressive bit of weather Sara.

A good sharp shot of your cat Liz. I've just been reading the FujiFilm XP60's specifications. A nice camera to own.
