Hi, I'm trying to access a private tournament that I used to be in and it's not accepting my log-in details. Are the log-in details the same as are used on the main FT site? I've tried clicking on forgotten password but it's not recognising my email address, which I know is right as I get notifications on badges, etc to that address.

Thanks in advance.

No, login details for private tournaments are completely separate from main site login data. So it may also be that you have an outdated email address on the private event and that this stops you from retrieving your data.

Can you give me the tournament link so I can check on your user data?

Sorry, I can't find anything in that tournament related to the name Amanda. Do you remember what your player name is in that one?

One of my teammates is also having a problem.

u1corn can play in one of the other private tournaments, but can't seem to get recognized at Bee Hive Trivia:

Does he use the same user name but different passwords for the private tournaments? If that's the case, he'll have to log out from one tournament before logging into the other.

Thanks, Wes.

I'm pretty sure she uses the same password/user name and has made sure she logged out of the other tourney. We've had her try all the usual stuff over the last couple of weeks.

I told her that I posted here and to watch this thread and/or her mailbox (main site, not forums) for anything you're able to figure out or any specifics you need to know.

I can't see anything wrong with her account. The account is active and in good standing. She could try clearing her browser cache and, if that doesn't help, resetting her password for the game (requesting a new one through email).

Thanks, Wes. I'll pass the info along. She's tried the reset, but don't think anyone mentioned the browser cache.

Have her check her gmail .. she should find her password for #62782 in there.
I've just forced the system to send her a password reminder (done twice).

[ her aol email address has been manually deleted ]

Looks like I may be able to keep in "custom categories" for private tourns.

Will do all that next week.

The private tournaments are so out of date that my coming changes will add.. 50,000 quizzes to the question and custom category pool.

Meaning each player gets different questions? That would be nice!

u1corn is still unable to log in at Bee Hive Trivia:
http://www.funtrivia.com/private/main.cfm?tid=99235
although she is able to log in and out of another private tourney, the Wits End one. She's cleared her cache, gotten a password reset, etc.

She tried to post directly to this thread, found out she wasn't registered in the Forum. Registered with same user and password but everytime she tries to log in the message reads "Username/Password not found"

Anything other ideas? Or anything behind the scenes that can be checked?

Thanks.

The two tournament registrations looks aok. I've forced the system to send password reminders on both (the two email addresses are not the same, one's yahoo and one's hotmail). If she still can't login to 99235 she needs to check with the host

>> found out she wasn't registered in the Forum. Registered with same user and password

When was that - I can't find a recent registration.
She already has an account- she registered in the forums back in July 2008 : http://www.funtrivia.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/users/18094
I've forced the system to send her a password reminder for her forums account.

I got in with the misspelled user name - is there a way to correct the spelling from u11corn to u1corn?
(I did not see any on my profile page. just display name which is correct)

We can't change the login name you entered when registering (the forums software hardwires it into the system). The system allows us to change the DisplayName, to match your quizzes registration (which has been done).
see your profile here: http://www.funtrivia.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/ubb/editbasic
