This is all that remains of one of Bristol's glassmaking cones. It would originally have been up to
120 feet high and was used to make window glass. It's now part of a hotel complex & I have a
feeling that it's used as a restaurant. As I recall, it was previously a music venue in the 1980s.

I cannot remember where I got to in Oslo so will begin again (alternate with the recent North Island trip) at the harbour on Oslo Fjord. This marina as near where the ferry to Kiel left from. For me it was the ferry to Copenhagen that I caught the next day.

The fields round us are now covered in flowers. Really pretty when you open the back door in the morning and are greeted with the sight of them.

Sue might recognise this bridge and the hotel behind it! The surface of the bridge resembled a
cheese grater with thousands of holes with raised edges. Very grippy no doubt but I don't think
I'd like to cycle across it, it would feel very rough I'm sure.

I went across it on a mobility scooter, noisy.

That was my bedroom, just under and to the right of the Ibis sign, the corner room, two windows, one on each wall.

Earlier in the year I was quite worried that my big honeysuckle had succumbed to a combination of being alternately frozen and flooded - however it survived and seems to have quite thrived on the wet conditions.

When they rebuilt Wembley Stadium (the arch is on the left) they rebuilt its station to copy the arches

Well I am back! England gets more beautifully green every time I go.
This is part of the knot garden at Highnam Court in Gloucester.

Welcome back.

I spotted this olde car the other day. Luckily, my camera was already 'ON' & in my hand!

I have no doubt that someone knows the make & model in an instant.

I'm sorry for not checking in lately. Been so very busy here and dealing with major/minor crises. Things seem to be picking up.

Here is a major dust storm rolling in as I type this. There's a debate on TV right now between the newscasters whether this is a dust storm or a Haboob.

Austin A 35

The A30 had a smaller back window.

I am not a fanatic but my boyfriend and I had an A30 with the registration number CPA2 which is why I know the model and the difference between the two.

We drove through Lake Havasu City, Arizona last week, home of London Bridge. Though not a very good picture, it was all I could get of the bridge as we drove past. One of these days, I'll get to spend more time there.

Nice car Martin, and like new as well. London is so big I keep finding new parks within five miles of home. This is Priory Park in Hornsey.

I was surprised at how much better Stratford is now. Not so garish and touristy.

At fourteen I am afraid that I didn't really appreciate it as I would if I went now. As for the play, we were sat at the back of the gods so saw very little especially as I doubt whether I took my specs with me!
