David Phelps. I love/despise the man. He's the only tenor on Earth who can out-tenor me. Take a few minutes to listen:

David is the curly haired guy.

Too many to narrow down--some classical, pop, country, classic rock, New Age... and a bunch of others I don't know the genre for.

I don't really have one single favorite. But...as far as voices go, I compare everyone the Michael Crawford's Phantom. And I'm a sucker for baritones.

Oh boy, like so many others, too many to recount. I love Judy Garland, though, and I think Barbra Streisand is a singer people will listen to hundreds of years from now.

Never Shout Never is my favorite singer currently.

I also really like Secondhand Serenade.

Also Basshunter, rounding out the top 3.

Utada, BoA, Kesha, Lenka, and Five For Fighting all make it fairly high on my list as well.

I like waaay too many. And then there are so many singers whose songs I enjoy, but would never list as a favorite singer, which I don't have. Some singers high on my list would be Adele, Bryan Adams, Kelly Clarkson (not a word, please! blush laugh ), Colm Wilkinson, Patti LuPone, Shane Filan, and more.

I'm currently listening to as much Christine Perfect as I can. Was she the best electric blues singer/songwriter ever? She may be better known to most as Christine McVie of Fleetwood Mac. Shopping for CDs of Chicken Shack (her first sucessful band) leads to some expensive items. I may have to go MP3 for those albums. Are they worth it? Right now I've got "The Complete Blue Horizon Sessions" playing. It was from the 60s and pre-echoes(?) some of her more famous Fleetwood Mac creations.

Karen Carpenter would have to be very high on the list of females; for males, it is a bit tougher, but how about Meatloaf!

Michael Jackson.

I've stuck with him through thick and thin for 27 years through everything, since I was 11 and I'm now 38. I miss him terribly.

There's also David Bowie, Cher, Adam Lambert, Billie Holliday, Frank Sinatra, Madonna, Conchita Wurst...and the list goes on with a bunch of various artists.

Female:- Ottilie Patterson, Nana Mouskouri, Judy Durham

Male:- Lonnie Donegan, Johnny Horton, Hank Snow

Lonnie Donegan Well well!
My daughter who was learning to read, happened to pass a poster advertising his latest concert (yes we do go back a bit too!) and said:
"That concert with Lone Dungeon should be good."
He has never been called anything else in our family!

They asked this on the radio a while ago for female singers, and after working through them all got Judith Durham of The Seekers (still together after over 50 years).

Male I had to think about, Cliff Richard and the Rossi/Parfitt duo of Status Quo going by my favourite records.

I could write a long list but will only add one I picked up on my own, Jeremy Taylor who switched between South Africa and Britain (he was on That's Life in the 70s), who got the Number one Ag Pleez Deddy in 1961 and I told him how much I liked it. He was a friend of my grandpa's (they all worked together at some point, he was a guitarist for over 70 years), and have exchanged music by post with him since.
