Morning Glory - Sat Mar 03 2012 07:55 AM

I have a question for any Australians out there regarding a particular form of cloud formation which apparently is only found in a remote area of Australia called Port Hope,i believe, called The Morning Glory.
It is an awe inspiring,to me anyways, sight, and while it has a scientific explanation, something to do with geographical features.
My question is,is there anybody who has actually seen it?

What fabulous pictures of clouds. I love this sort of stuff. I've never seen the morning glory clouds though as I'm too far south. I did see a documentary about two cloud scientists (who knew such people existed?) and they had pictures of what I thought were completely normal clouds that every one has. Apparently not. They said the clouds I thought of as "normal" clouds were only seen on the east coast of Australia. I never knew (until I saw the doco a few years ago) that clouds could have different forms in different parts of the world. I would dearly love to see some noctilucent clouds one day. They look beautiful! smile
