What do you call the piece of crockery that you would have a prawn cocktail, for example, out of??

I think it is called a coup. Do you mean a thing that looks like a large wineglass.You use them for ice creams, sundaes and yes prawn cocktails.That might not be the spelling, but in my waitress days we called it that.
