Schmozzle was guessed though. :P

There are a lot of Yiddish words in the game, and usually someone guesses it correctly.

I'm just waiting for srevotfel to be in there. wink

Oops! That's not private home use. The Limited Speech Dragoons (LSD) will soon be knocking on your door. What a fine schemozzle you've made for yourself. (Sorry, I had to use it. It's one way to learn it. The word, not the drug, silly!)

I've won with both shmoose and shmooze, and I've also seen schmooze come up too.

You built on a re:mehaul and the topic in public without the express written approval by somebody who has a pen and piece of paper (REM: those?)
Okay, I'll stop kvetching if you promise to listen to some James Gang music (or Topol in "Fiddler on the Roof").

Edit: nice 'catch' on the Flounder! Did you use a drop line and sea worms?

Edit2: salami_swami correctly guessed 'flounder' during these exchanges and I've interpreted it to mean the fish definition.

(rolls eyes) I don't think you want a more detailed comment than that. Besides, it would be off-topic to this thread (but could certainly warrant a new one: worst sidekick ever lol).

Flounder as in the non-fish meaning as a winning word (which more than one person guessed) DOES fit in the thread however ~~~

Wikipedia redirects to baksheesh as the only known spelling. Where can we submitt a CN? Or, does some baksheesh have to accompany it?

Dictionary.com has backsheesh as an accepted word, though.

Bakshish, Bakshis, etc etc. I tried four different versions of caballa once before winning it, there were at least six possible. Once you transliterate from a different alphabet very few have standard spellings and just need to try every single variation, we even had enrolment and enrollment in English yesterday which caught me out totally.
