Australia named 3 batsmen and the team is set for the final Test. Dropping one Test from our schedule here will give slight unfair advantage to srini as he's about 80 points ahead of 3rd place (easier to make up that score with 10 players instead of 5).

Both Tests are very much in our schedule, with plenty of time for all to lodge picks before the Test in New Zealand starts on Friday smile

  • Australia ended their 2017-18 cricket season in shambles. Broken, dis-spirited, coachless, and on a rebuilding mission under a new leader, hoping to change the culture of the manner in which they play the game. A steep learning curve awaits again...

  • England ended their 2017-18 cricket season enduring their longest streak of away Tests without a win - 13. They needed 4 wickets in the final session of play, and they threw everything they had at the Kiwi batsmen, but couldn't get past a resolute pair in Sodhi and Wagner. They should look to convert starts into innings that count (Root had 7 fifties during the season without converting any into a century), and look how they can bring some of their one-day form into the Test team as well.

  • New Zealand and South Africa ended their seasons on a high. New Zealand again asking for more Tests, and South Africa close to their goal of becoming #1 again under a very determined leader in Du Plessis. Both teams played some pleasing cricket throughout the season and if they can replicate that form on tours, should be forces to reckon with in the coming years.

  • Our comp here was the closest we had in many seasons, but at the end, it was the same podium as last season. Any of the top 3 could have won this in the last round, but some inspired picks which paid off (Aiden Markram, Stuart Broad and Tim Southee) helped srini701win the HoF and the comp comfortably. paper_aero had a big pick in Philander as his trump player and that helped him stave off N-Bomb for the silver medal. It was #2 last year too for paper_aero.

  • ElfTwinkle had a great season throughout and is probably unlucky not to have been among the medals. Howie72 tapered off in the second half of the season, as did illiniman14, who defaulted the last 4 rounds to drop off the radar. LeoDaVinci and ozz2002 had a yo-yo of a season, while wwe84was always adventurous in his picks right through the season. gtho4 took home 6 of the 15 spoons for the season and that can only spell disaster in a comp where players' scores matter smile

So our trend of a winner not repeating the act continues into a 15th year in a row! Thank you all for lasting the course with me, and hoping to see you all back 9 months from now....

Switch to the crazy world of T20 for the next 45 days before we bid adieu to cricket for the rest of the year smile
