Yes, I know it’s been awhile, but I’ve been busy picking up brains. I’m out to get the biggest brains for 2000 brains. I’m about half way home, but I had to take a small break this week. I had some company in town. Yes, another Fun Trivia’er came to visit me and you are so lucky, you get to meet him too!
You know him as Rizeeve, but I know him as Chris!
http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n287/LinkaB4/CIMG2909.jpg
He’s probably the nicest guy you’ll ever meet. He came to Vegas with some of his family, but I met only ‘Mom’.
We talked about the brain badge, the treasure badge, the team player badge. He’s ticked that he can’t seem to get the team player. He posts and posts and still no badge. Does anyone know how many posts you need to make to get this badge?
We talked about so many different people in Fun Trivia. We had the best time.
We went to the Mirage where we waited intensely for a possible winning ticket that he had played on the Jazz game. I kept checking my phone for the updates of the score. Finally, after what seemed hours…
http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n287/LinkaB4/CIMG2908.jpg
You got it! He won! A bit excited, as the picture shows.
I found out quite a bit about Rizeeve. He enjoys gymnastics! He’s a major math wiz! He likes figuring out puzzles with numbers. I guess that he’d be a major Suduko fan then.
We spent a few quarters and then headed to the Venetian to get a BIG caramel apple. Not just any caramel apple! He ordered a Heath Bar Apple, while I stuck with the Dark Chocolate and Pecan Apple. They were great and so was my visit with him and his mom.

Part 2
Since Chris is into gymnastics, I thought I’d pick one of his quizzes for you take.
Play Quiz: NCAA Women's Gymnastics Championships now!
Let me see if I can help you pick up a few points.
University of Utah won 5 games in a row, starting in 1982.
University of Utah won the most championships in the 1990s.
Courtney Kupets won the all-around championship in 2006 and 2007!
Did you know that Ashley Postell, Kristen Maloney, Kate Richardson, and Elise Ray all are balance beam champions?
With this help, you can pick up 40 points!
Now for a couple funnies!
What do you call a blond doing a handstand?
A brunette.
What do you call a book/ film about a gymnast who is tempted from his chosen gymnastic apparatus?
Lured off the Rings
With those two bad ones, I’m outta here and back to my brains!
Chris, it was a pleasure to meet you and hope you had as much fun as I did!

Yes, I'm still alive.
Yes, I'm still here.
Just taking a few months off for right now. Working on my Brains Badge. Only 1300 more points and another badge success.
Thank you to all of you who wrote, begging and pleading with me to come back.
I promise, I'll start writing a new adventure shortly.
While you're waiting, feel free to browse around the site. There's so many new things to see and do. Lots of quizzes and a whole bunch of fun!

I love that scarecrow in “The Wizard of Oz” when he sings, “If I only had a brain…”
Well now you can have a brain too. Not just one, but many brains! You can earn up to 25 brains per day! If you accumulate 200 brains, you’ll earn a badge too. There’s actually three badges for brains. The first is the “Big Brain” for 200 points. “Super Brain” you’ll need 500 points and “Atomic Brain” is 2000 brains!
Ngpas is our leader right now with 1,522 brains. I’m strolling along with less than 100, but I’m getting there!
You can read more about the brains and how to get points here:

Here’s a little “brain” humor!
A brain walks into a bar and says, "I'll have a pint of beer please."
The barman looks at him and says "Sorry, I can't serve you."
"Why not?" asks the brain.
"You're already out of your head."

Part 2
Since we’re talking about Ngpas, I thought I’d mention her quiz.
Play Quiz: Hitchcock Film Titles in French now!
Let’s try and give you a few points too.
Cary Grant and Eva Marie Saint teamed up in “La Mort aux Trousses”, you may know this movie as, “North by Nortwest”.
Ingrid Bergman and Gregory Peck teamed up in “La Maison du Docteur Edwardes” or you may recall this movie as “Spellbound”.
One of my favorite movies stars Grace Kelly and Ray Milland. “Le Crime Etait Presque Parfait” is known to me as “Dial M for Murder”.
Thanks Ngpas for a great quiz and keep up ‘them brains‘!
Have a great week! (By the way - good job Giants!)

I was going to write about the weather, but I decided against that. I was then going to write about the upcoming Chinese New Year, but decided against that too. Then I thought about writing about the Mardi Gras, then thought, nope, not that either.
Then I thought, what’s the most important thing in the United States of America today? What’s the biggest question on everyone’s mind today? The only thing I could think of was “Are the Patriots going to win every single game the entire 2007/2008 season?”
No one thought that two weeks ago that the Giants would defeat Brett and his “Green Bay Packer” team. It was below zero that day in Green Bay. Thousands of Packer fans waited, bundled up, just waiting for Brett to take them to another Super Bowl. He failed his team. We gave him excuses to use, “it’s so cold, it’s so windy…” so many excuses. Brett walked away in shame off that field. Maybe this will be the year that he retires from the NFL. There were a few Giant fans in the stadium that day, and they were thrilled to see the lose! Now, the Giants go up against the New England Patriots. So I ask… ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?
Today and only today, One game! Good luck gentlemen and let the best team win!

Part 2
Lets take a look at some of the earlier Super Bowls in this quiz.
I’ll help you pick up a few points along the way too!
Play Quiz: Super Bowls I-X now!
The Green Bay Packers took home the first Super Bowl win ever in 1967. They again took home the second win in 1968. The Jets came back in the third Super Bowl and beat the Colts. Joe Namath took home the MVP award that year. With these clues, you should pick up 30 points!
This is an oldie but goodie Super Bowl joke!
A man had 50 yard line tickets for the Super Bowl. As he sits down, a man
comes down and asked the man if anyone is sitting in the seat next to him.
"No", he said, "the seat is empty".
"This is incredible", said the man. "Who in their right mind would
have a seat like this for the Super Bowl , the biggest sport event in the
world, and not use it ?"
Somberly, the man says, "Well... the seat actually belongs to me. I
was supposed to come here with my wife, but she passed away. This is the
first Super Bowl we have not been together since we got married in 1967."
"Oh I'm sorry to hear that. That's terrible. But couldn't you find someone
else - a friend or relative or even a neighbor to take the seat?"
The man shakes his head, "No. They're all at the funeral."
Are you ready? TOUCHDOWN GIANTS!

I’m sure most of you that watch CNN heard about the fire in Las Vegas at the Monte Carlo this week.
I was driving down the highway towards work and actually saw a few brake lights and saw people pulling off to the side of the freeway. I looked to the east and saw blazes of fire coming off the top of the Monte Carlo.
I cannot describe to you how I felt at that moment. Shock, scared, worried and overall concerned for the safety of everyone in and around that building. As I saw pieces of burned building materials falling down to the ground, over 30 floors down, there was a small fire starting below too.
I immediately called my mother, who was at home and turned the news on. Her first words were, “Linda, are you sure? There’s nothing on the news!” Within 10 minutes the news channels, fire trucks and all emergency vehicles were in place and trying to extinguish the fire.
My thoughts kept going back to the MGM fire, where people were jumping out of windows. The thoughts also went to September 11th. Where hundreds of people died in that fire. So many thoughts with nothing to do but watch and hope that everyone made it out.
According to the paper, everyone was evacuated and very few people were treated for minor injuries. Once again, God protected everyone in that building and my prayers were answered, once again.

Part 2
In remembrance of a sad day in history, I’ve selected this quiz for this week’s adventure.
Play Quiz: The Day The World Cried now!
At 8:45 (est) in the morning, American Airlines, Flight 11 crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center.
President Bush made a statement at 9:30 in the morning from Sarasota, Florida.
At 3:55 pm, Karen Hughes, a White House counselor told America that the President was at an undisclosed location and was conducting a National Security Council meeting.
The three main targets of the plane that crashed in Pennsylvania was supposed to be Camp David, the White House or the US Capitol Building.
With these comments, you should pick up 40 points.
I know that now that I have seen this image, it brought reality. I may never know the thoughts of people that went through the ordeal on September 11th, but I do know that I will never forget.

This is the week that determines it all in football. Will it be the Green Bay Packers? Will it be the San Diego Chargers? Maybe the Giants will be ‘the giant’ this week. Or could it be the Patriots will take over a top spot?
Everyone is putting down their bets and getting ready for the ‘bigger’ game on February 3.
Now, in Vegas, we can’t use the term, “Super Bowl”. The NFL has designated that a ‘no no’. They put out the big bucks, so we’re not allowed. If you do have a party, you have to say “BIG GAME”. You’re also not allowed to charge a fee to see the ‘BIG GAME’.
Needless to say, there will not be a shortage of television sets tuned into the game! You can hit every sports book in town and find at least 10 television sets from small to medium to big screens. However, you can’t show the game on too big of a screen. This is also according to the NFL. They are really putting a damper on our day here in Vegas!
