Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. This picture brings to mind a 1944 movie by the master of suspense, Alfred Hitchcock. Which movie is that?

Answer: Lifeboat

Set in WWII, the movie centres around a group of people adrift at sea in a lifeboat, after their ship is sunk in a battle with a German U-boat. The U-boat has also sunk, and they pull one of the survivors onboard the lifeboat. Things get tense as food and water become scarce and they gradually come to realize that the man they rescued from the water is the captain of the ship that opened fire on them. What's worse is that he's got supplies that he isn't sharing, and he disposes of one of the group to keep his secret.

The movie stars, among others, Hume Cronyn and Tallulah Bankhead.
2. What 1948 movie, based on a story by Hans Christian Andersen, does this photo bring to mind?

Torn between her two loves, she ends up jumping in front of a train and dying...or does she fall?
The movie is directed by Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger and stars Moira Shearer.

The movie shows us how cats and dogs are agents, working against each other. The movie is magnificent, but it's a serious tear jerker. Midler's rendition of "Wind Beneath My Wings" was a huge hit.
