Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. I am a 20-gauged, 10-round-clip-sized shotgun. You could say my fire speed is super "Sonic". What am I?

Answer: S12

The KSG-12 is not in zombies mode, but rather showcases it's brilliance in multiplayer. You might've been tempted to say the M1216, since it's fire rate is obviously highest, but the "s" in S12 stands for Sega, being why I highlighted "Sonic". Even though it's not the highest, the Sega 12's fire rate is superb, considering it's semi automatic.
2. For some odd reason, none of the four main characters like getting me in the random box. I fire 7.5 MM Rifle Ammo, and people often call me "fail", even though they know I'm an accurate, semi-automatic rifle. What am I?

Answer: FAL

While the other three options are awful weapons in zombies mode. This is because the SMR is weaker than even the M14 and comes with a mere 120 total rounds. The War Machine's grenades do not explode on impact, and because of this, it is very easy to harm your self.

The Chicom CQB is also a bad option because it fires very quickly, and very weakly, and does not come with enough total rounds (120) to support a player much past level 7. The FAL, when sounded out, is called the "fail". Most people do indeed sound it out. Of course, the War Machine and Chicom CQB do not even fire rifle ammo, so they were obvious wrong answers.
3. I've been around for seventy years now, I am the second-oldest weapon in all of zombies mode, and I pack a punch. But don't actually Pack-a-Punch me, for I might get you killed with my higher fire rate if you aren't careful/ don't have PHD Flopper. What am I?

Answer: RPG

While all four options could inadvertently get you killed (the SkullCrusher with it's 40MM Grenade Launcher), the RPG is the oldest real life weapon of the four, second oldest in all of zombies mode, only younger than the M1911. It stands for "Rocket Propelled Grenade) and has been around since 1955 (it will have been seventy years in 2025, where the story takes place). You might've been tempted to say Mustang and Sally, since they are two M1911s firing explosive rounds, but they do not actually exist in real life, so the RPG is the oldest of the four.
4. For some reason, the creators of the game screwed my name and characteristics up. In real life, I am fully automatic with 100 round clips. In the game, I am a burst rifle with 32 round clips. What am I?

Answer: M8A1

The RPD is 100% correct in the game, sharing all of its characteristics with a real life RPD. The M27A1 does not exist in real life to begin with, ending that discussion right there. While the M16A1 CAN be fully automatic in real life, it does not have 100 round clips in real life. The M8A1, or XM8A1 in real life, fires 100 round clips and is fully automatic.
5. I am the heaviest weapon in all of zombies mode. What am I?

Answer: None of these

The heaviest weapon in all of zombies mode would be the Barrett M82A1. It's not close. The M82A1 clocks in at a whopping 28.5 pounds, while the next heaviest weapon would be the RPD, at a mere 16.6 pounds. The third heaviest and fourth heaviest are the HAMR and RPG, respectively.
6. I am the Claymore that a character puts down in zombies mode. What am I?

Answer: C16A2 Abrams Mine

The C16A2 Abrams Mine, also used in the infamous bombing at the Boston Marathon, is the claymore you can buy off the wall for 1000 points. You get two at the time of purchase, and two after every level begins.
7. I am a tried and true .357 handgun. I am, however, badly outshined by my counterpart, and am usually only useful until round 10 or 11, unless Pack-a-Punched or the user drinks Double Tap Root Beer. What am I?

Answer: Python

The Executioner is by far the dominant handgun in the game, requiring only one shot to kill a zombie until level 20, and when pack-a-punched, an incredible round 35. The Colt Python, even when Pack-a-Punched, is only a one-shot kill until round 15. This is so because the Executioner fires 28 gauge shotgun shells, whereas the Colt Python fires the much weaker .357 revolver round.

The Five Seven is a semi automatic handgun, which unless dual wielded, is outshined by the Colt Python and Executioner.
8. Let's talk Pack-a-punched guns! I am a masterful sniper rifle, which can have it's scope removed for more peripheral means of takedown. I am a one-shot kill until about round 38 (when mixed with Double Tap Root Beer). What am I?

Answer: Dead Specimen Reactor 5000

While the other three are one-shot kills for a very long time (when mixed with double tap Root Beer), the Dead Specimen Reactor uses one shot to kill one zombie for the longest time. It is the DSR 50 you need to acquire and pack a punch in order to get this legendary sniper rifle.
9. Returning from "Call of Duty: Black Ops'" zombies mode, I have very proficient stopping power and come with a reflex sight when pack-a-punched to become the Lamentation. What am I?

Answer: None of these

The M16A1, while it does return from "Call of Duty" Black Ops", it is not the Lamentation, but rather the SkullCrusher, when pack-a-punched. The Famas G1 and Colt Commando do not even return in "Call of Duty: Black Ops 2", so they're automatically not options. It is the Galil that you must pack-a-punch in order to receive the Lamentation.
10. When pack-a-punched, I'd hope you wouldn't "forget" to use me! I am very weak without Double Tap Root Beer, but with it, I am extremely useful, until about level 25 (about level 12 without). What am I?

Answer: M-nesia

The M-nesia is the M14 pack-a-punched. It fires 16 round clips with 192 total rounds and comes with a foregrip (not that it had particularly high recoil to begin with).
11. A very poor choice to pack-a-punch, I cost 1000 on the wall and fire 9MM handgun ammo. What am I?

Answer: MP5

The MP5 becomes the MP115 Kollider when pack-a-punched. It is truly the worst thing you could pack-a-punch, coming with a mere 200 total rounds on forty-round clip sizes. The PDW-57 and SVU-AS are very formidable choices to pack-a-punch, becoming the Predictive Death Wish 57000 and Shadow Viel Utilizer, respectively.

The B23R is an average option to upgrade, becoming the B34R, becoming fully automatic, but not having enough total rounds to be useful for long.
12. One of the top three best weapons you could choose to pack-a-punch, I come with 600 total rounds and 50 round clips. I also fire 7.5MM Rifle Ammo rounds, and go nicely with an SMG. What am I?

Answer: AN-94

The M8A1 and Galil both fire 5.5MM Rifle Ammo, ruling them out. While the RPD fires 7.5MM Rifle Ammo, like the AN-94, it is very different from it. It's fire rate is much greater than the AN-94, and it comes with more total rounds (750), but it has much greater recoil and a much slower reload speed.

It also does not have anywhere near the stopping power that the AN-94 does, when pack-a-punched. The AN-94 becomes the Actuated Neutralizer 94000 when pack-a-punched, and really does not have a point in time where it becomes useless.
13. What weapon is called the "Macro Annihilator" when pack-a-punched?

Answer: Barrett M82A1

The RPD is called the Relativistic Punishment Device when pack-a-punched. The DSR 50 is the Dead Specimen Reactor 5000 when pack-a-punched, coming with variable zoom (unless you modify it) and FMJ. The Macro Annihilator comes with 7 round clips and 42 total rounds, along with a variable zoom, and is very useful until round 27, when it falls off the Earth completely.
14. What new thing did Treyarch implement on the Pack-A-Punch machine?

Answer: The ability to get different attachments on certain pack-a-punched weapons

NOTE, you cannot get any new attachments on any Vietnam War era weapons. These weapons are, the RPD, Barrett M82A1, FAL, Python, AK74U, MP5, M14, Olympia, Ballistic Knife, M1911, Colt M16A1, and more. You also cannot get pack-a-punched weapons modified if they do not meet certain specifications.

Some of these weapons would be the RPG, SVU-AS, Five Seven, Five Seven Dual Wield, Executioner, S12, and KAP-40.
15. What is the setting in the map "Nuketown"?

Answer: Carson City, Nevada

The map "Nuketown" is a nuclear weapons testing facility in Carson City, Nevada. However, in zombies mode, it is completely torn apart and it seems to have taken in the effects of the apocalypse.
