Quizzes can have no MORE than half of the questions be fill in the blanks, except under EXTREME circumstances (with editors' approval). You cannot remove the computer generated hint, such as One Word, although you can add to the hint. Also, please be specific with how you ask for the answer. If there is any chance that the answer can be put another way, then you cannot use the fill in the blank. It would be more appropriate to use multiple choice.
Do not use quotations for fill in the blank answers. Fill in the blank answers cannot, when written correctly, contain punctuation. Such answers MUST be multiple choice. (We have found problems with, among other things, the default apostrophe that different countries use.)
True/false and yes/no questions do NOT count as fill in the blank questions. With the new Funtrivia system, you don't need a hint for True or False or Yes or No questions. The system takes care of it.
New quizmakers should not be surprised if we ask them to make all of the questions (except for 'true/false' or 'yes/no') multiple choice, because they are not accustomed to the site and how fill in the blank answers should be formed. New quizmakers should also realize that the fill in the blank format is for experienced quizmakers only.
The word limit in Entertainment for fill in the blank answers is FIVE words.
