Punctuation and Typos Trivia and Quizzes
*Please use proper capitalization throughout your entire quiz - INCLUDING multiple choice answers. (The only exception is the title of your quiz where all words should be capitalized.)
*Fill in the blank answers are NOT case-sensitive.
*Do not type in caps, unless it is a word that needs to stand out from the rest. An example of this is: Which of the following was NOT one of the girls?
*Please use proper spacing. Spaces are needed after things like commas, periods, exclamation points, colons, semi-colons, etc. Spaces are NOT needed, nor are they welcomed before question marks, periods, commas or exclamation points.
*Please use proper punctuation throughout your entire quiz. Make sure each sentence ends in some form of punctuation.
*Do not use excessive punctuation. Examples are more than one question mark or exclamation point. Do not use more than three '...' as any other number is not correct.
This is possibly the most confusing part of the game. If you can master this, you've got it made! Titles of television shows, Pay Per Views, comic strips, comic books, video games, movies, direct quotes, songs belong in quotes in the title of your quiz, in your introduction, in your questions, and in your interesting info blurbs. Putting them in quotes in your answers is the hard part. Fill in the Blank (FITB) answers should never be in quotes. Multiple Choice (MC) answers should not have the title in quotes, if the title is the only thing in the answer (stand-alone). For example, if you ask:
Which of these movies has The Rock starred in?
The Scorpion King
Your answers don't need to be in quotes.
However, if there are other words in the answer, the movie title must be in quotes. For example, if you ask:
Which of these movies has Hulk Hogan starred in, and what was the name of his character?
'Rocky 3', Thunderlips
'Nightmare On Elm Street', Freddie Kruegar
'Halloween', Michael Myers
'The Panic Room', Bubba
The movie titles must be in quotes.
Movie titles, TV show titles, Pay Per Views, song titles, music album titles, quotes, video games, comic books, comic strips, and lyrics must all be in quotes, as per these directions.
