Taronga Zoo is a landmark in Sydney, Australia. Within sight of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Opera House, it is on the north side of Sydney Harbour. Taronga Zoo was officially opened October 7th, 1916. The name Taronga means "beautiful view" in the local Aboriginal language. The view from Taronga Zoo is truly beautiful and not to be missed if you are visiting Sydney.
