"Hugh Pacheo" was played by Stone Soup alum Ed Muirhead. The real Hugh had died ten years earlier. Ed was emailed the job info and told it was all a huge practical joke for Sadie. In actuality, Eddie had killed Gayla's fiance Lester Pacheo and made it look like a suicide. He even had Ed give Sadie a gold necklace with the Latin inscription "Carnalem concupiscentiam est insatiabilis". That translates to "carnal desire is insatiable". Nick Bottom was a fictional actor from William Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream", Bruce Baxter was the actor played by Kyle Chandler in 2005's remake of "King Kong", and Johnny Drama was the half-brother to Vincent Chase, and played by Kevin Dillon, on the HBO series "Entourage".

17. "Dead Suite" - What alias was the killer, Eddie Prior, using?

From Quiz Wendy Roberts' "Ghost Duster" Series Pt. 2

Answer: Herbert Sylvane

Herbert Sylvane worked for the Bay Eminence Hotel. He'd hired Sadie to clean up his first local kill, a hooker named May Lathrop. Then he'd used the fake Hugh Pacheo to have her clean up his staged suicide of Lester Pacheo. Eddie had been on his way to becoming to a priest when he met Della and married her. Della Prior had killed her daughter Iris, believing the girl was possessed by a demon. That had occurred in the house on Halladay in Seattle, now owned by Gayla and Owen. Eddie left Della and Iris when the girl was very young and never directly contacted Iris again. He came back to town years later, believed Iris to be a hooker, and wrote letters to Della coaxing and instructing her on how to rid Iris of her demons. The poison used had killed Iris, which had been Eddie/Herbert's intent all along. Eddie/Herbert met Sadie several years earlier after the suicide of his prostitute sister. They'd been in the same grief support group for suicide survivors. He'd made a psychotic bond with Sadie at the time, and fixated on her ever since then. He almost killed Sadie in the hospital, but Zack arrived in time to save her. Zack convinced Sadie he did want a relationship with her, but this time he wanted to take it slow and do it right. Bird, Ramirez, and Sutcliffe are names of actual serial killers. Fun fact - Halladay is a real street in Seattle, there is a real house known as the Halladay House, which was rumored by kids to be haunted. It was built in 1888 and saved several times from either being made into apartments or being torn down completely. No true evidence ever came about that it was haunted.

While there, Sadie also found a newborn baby in the midst of an interrupted Satanic ritual, and she met the baby's determined dead mother. 22. What was the name of Julie's rottweiler?

From Quiz "A Grave Calling" by Wendy Roberts

Answer: Wookie

From Quiz Wendy Roberts' "Ghost Duster" Series Pt. 2

Answer: Owen

Both Owen and Zack were freaked out at the news of the baby, leaving Sadie thinking she'd be a single mother. Inside the unit was just a lot of lost dog flyers, but Jen finally realized what was in the image behind the dog.

25. "Drop Dead Beauty" - Whose murder was Sadie investigating for her good friend Detective Dean Petrovich?

From Quiz Wendy Roberts' "Ghost Duster" Series Pt. 2

Answer: Jane's

From the evidence gathered, all signs had pointed to Dean as her killer, so he implored Sadie to help clear his name. She owed him a lot, and agreed to help. Jane had been killed inside a spa she frequented, so Sadie went there and talked with the owner, Zenia. Then, she met Jane's massage therapist, an extremely attractive man named Emilio. It turned out that Emilio and Jane had fallen in love, despite the fact that Emilio had many special female clients. Zenia became homicidally jealous and murdered Jane. She framed Dean for the murder. Amy, Louann, and Ellen are characters from the book "The Dollhouse Murders" by Betty Ren Wright.

26. "Dead and Kicking"- At the start of the novel, Sadie was attending the funeral of which loved one?

And, it took some convincing on her part that he was dead. He did not believe her. But, when he looked into the mirror and saw no reflection, he was no longer able to deny the truth.

27. Who turned out to be the serial killer?

From Quiz "A Grave Calling" by Wendy Roberts

Answer: Gramps, Julie's grandfather

After Julie had been drugged and kidnapped while in Jonas' company, she believed he was the killer (naturally). Jonas was her extremely friendly co-worker at the gas station, and Julie really enjoyed his friendship. She awoke tied up and locked inside a shed, but was able to free herself and escape. A massive hunt was underway for Jonas, who was actually locked up in one of Gramps' fishing shacks. So, Julie was kidnapped again by Gramps, who took her to where he had Katie captive. Katie was starved and bruised, and suffering badly. She'd been captive for about four days at that point. It turned out that Julie's grandmother had known what her husband was (a killer) and held it over his head in order to be able to abuse Julie without his interference. In the end, Julie saved Katie from her grandfather. She then spent three months in a psychiatric hospital recovering from past and recent traumas. She and Wookie moved in with Garrett after she was released.

28. Who turned out to be Misty's killer?

From Quiz Wendy Roberts' "Grounds To Kill"

Arthur also killed a homeless woman named Alice, after Jen had talked to the woman. He stole Jen's Neon and placed Alice's body inside the trunk. He left the laptop he'd stolen from Jen's apartment in the car as well. I knew something was off about Arthur, a traffic cop, when he bragged about catching bad guys and Jen had to remind him that he did not catch bad guys at all.

29. "Dead and Kicking"- Sadie's partner and boyfriend, Zack Bowman, was injured in this book. Which part of his body was hurt in a fall inside a haunted house?

From Quiz Wendy Roberts' "Ghost Duster" Series

Answer: Ankle

It was inside the home of Mimi Wicks. Zack had dated her daughter Paula prior to working for Sadie. Paula asked Zack for help cleaning out the house, as it was an intense hoarding situation. Paula also had other plans for Zack, like stealing him away from Sadie. So, when an angry male spirit named Stephen Brant caused Zack to be injured, Paula (a nurse) took it upon herself to give him narcotics for pain. Zack had been a recovering addict when Sadie hired him and when they became a couple. His relapse was not all Paula's fault. Sadie found evidence inside the home they shared that Zack had been back on pain pills even before his accident. He entered rehab again near the end of the novel.
