From Quiz
Don'tcha Wish You Could Quote Like Me?

Answer: Star Wars: Return Of The Jedi

"Cry Baby"(1990). Wade Walker (Depp) the leader of the drapes and main character, is in court for rioting with the squares. 3. (1995) "Have you ever fallen in love with someone you haven't even talked to? Have you ever been so alone you spent the night confusing a man in a coma?" - Lucy Moderatz

From Quiz Cheesy Movie Quotes, Part 3

Answer: While You Were Sleeping

After Peter is mugged on Christmas Day, he falls, unconscious, onto the train tracks. Lucy, who has spent weeks fantasizing about him, pulls him off the track just before he's run over by a train, thereby saving his life. In the hospital, while he lays in a coma, she is mistakenly identified as his fiancée, a fact which endears her to his family. Unable to sleep, Lucy spends the first night of Peter's coma sitting by his side, trying to explain to him why his family believes her to be his fiancée. This quote is part of that explanation. Life gets complicated when Peter wakens, becomes convinced that she really is his fiancée, and asks her to marry him. Unfortunately by this time she's already fallen in love with his brother. Sandra Bullock, Bill Pullman, and Peter Gallagher star under Jon Turtletaub's direction.

4. "No, thank you. We are dressed in our best and are prepared to go down as gentlemen." -- 1997

From Quiz Quotes from "Best Picture" Movies, 8

Answer: Titanic

In this scene well-heeled American industrialist and philanthropist Benjamin Guggenheim (played by Michael Ensign) has realized that there are only half the number of lifeboats on RMS Titanic needed for all passengers, and that he is faced with almost certain death. He and his valet change into formal evening attire, and he says this quote when a steward offers them life jackets. "Titanic" tells the true story of the luxurious White Star ocean liner, RMS Titanic, that sank in 1912 on its maiden voyage, through the lives of both fictional and real life characters. "Titanic" won 11 Oscars in the 1998 Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Original Song for "My Heart Will Go On". The only other movies to win 11 Oscars (as of March 2006) were "Ben-Hur" in the 1960 Academy Awards and "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King" in the 2004 Academy Awards. Both Gloria Stuart (old Rose Bukater) and Kate Winslet (young Rose Bukater) were nominated for Oscars, but neither won.

5. "That place at the base of a woman's throat? You know - the hollow here - does that have an official name?" -- 1996 (Hint: Ralph Fiennes is in this movie.)

From Quiz Quotes from "Best Picture" Movies, 7

Answer: The English Patient

"The English Patient" tells the story of Hungarian-born mapmaker, Count Laszlo de Almásy (played by Ralph Fiennes), who is badly burned in an airplane crash. Through a series of flashbacks while he is recovering, he remembers his prior life and an affair he had with Katharine Clifton (played by Kristin Scott Thomas). In this scene, as he kisses the depression at the base of her throat he says, "This - what's it called? This place, I love it!" Later, he asks his friend Maddox (played by Julian Wadham) the question in this quote. Maddox replies "Good God, man, pull yourself together," but later tells Almásy it's called the suprasternal notch. In the 1997 Academy Awards, "The English Patient" won nine Oscars, including Best Picture and Best Actress in a Supporting Role for Juliette Binoche. Ralph Fiennes and Kristin Scott Thomas were nominated for awards, but did not win.

From Quiz Quotes from "Best Picture" Movies, 6

Rose says this quote to Jack. "Titanic" tells the historically-accurate saga of the luxurious White Star ocean liner that sank in 1912 on its maiden voyage, seen through the lives of two main fictional characters, Jack Dawson and Rose Bukater. "Titanic" won 11 Oscars in the 1998 Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Original Song for "My Heart Will Go On." The only other movies to win 11 Oscars (as of March 2006) were "Ben-Hur" in the 1960 Academy Awards and "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King" in the 2004 Academy Awards.

From Quiz 1960s Movie Quotes

Answer: It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World

"It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World" (1963) is an all-star madcap comedy. The movie begins when Jimmy Durante, recently released from prison, speeds toward southern California to uncover $350,000 that he buried under a "big W." When his car crashes over a cliff, several motorists stop to check on the old man, and he tells them about the stolen loot buried under a "big W." After he dies, the fun begins as each person in the motley crew races to find the cash first! Milton Berle delivers this quote at the beginning of the film when he sees Jimmy Durante's car fly over the cliff.

8. "Pop quiz, hot shot."

From Quiz Famous Movie Quotes

Answer: Speed

This phrase was said by Harry Temple (Jeff Daniels) to the cop, Jack Traven (Keanu Reeves), at the beginning of the movie while they were trying to save the passengers in the elevator. A little later, after they save them, they try to catch the bomber, Howard Payne (Dennis Hopper), and they meet up with him in the basement of the building. It was in this scene where Howard said this phrase to Jack. Finally, at the end of the movie, when Jack caught up with Howard and the kidnapped Annie in the subway, Jack said this to Howard one last time. The phrase means that when Jack and Harry come to a sticky situation, what do they do?
