The joint venture between Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles and North Sydney Bears lasted for 2 seasons (2000 and 2001), after which the Manly club held the licence solo. In 2003 the Manly club ceased using Northern Eagles and reverted to their original Sea Eagles name.
