First Names in Other Words Trivia Quiz

A lot of first names have dual meanings. In this quiz, we explore some of them. I have tried to stay away from flowers as girl's names and places as names. Should not be too hard, so have fun. Some questions/answers may be US specific.

2. A woman who drinks a flavorful Spanish wine.

Answer: Sherry

3. A man from an African country who has a problem with his voting card.

Answer: Chad

I couldn't resist this one! Some of us from the US may be familiar with the term "hanging chad" from the 2000 presidential election. In that case, a chad is a bit of paper pressed out from a data card. Chad is also a country in Africa.
4. A girl who is raising a female donkey.

Answer: Jenny

A jenny is a term used for a female donkey or wren. A jenny is also an antiquated term for a spinning loom.
5. A boy who walked over 1,760 yards.

Answer: Miles

This could also be a boy who walked over 5,280 feet, but that would have been too easy.
6. A girl who knew what her future fate was.

Answer: Destiny

Destiny can be described as an inevitable fate. It is usually translated to mean something that is beyond one's control. I also added Crystal when a quizzer alerted me it could also be an answer, because Crystal could look into her crystal ball.
Thanks Professor101!

Researchers often ask for a grant when trying to raise money for a project.
