Answer: credentials

Your credentials could include things like educational qualifications, employment records, or even a photo-ID.

Answer: decaliters

A decalitre is ten litres. Dekalitre is another spelling, but the K was an awkward letter to use in this puzzle.

Ocean tides are caused by the gravitational pull of the moon. A low tide, or low water, means that more of the shore is exposed, and high tide obviously means the opposite. A neap tide is a lower-than-normal low tide, the inverse of a spring (or king) tide. Ebb simply means that the tide is going out.

According to the shopkeeper, the parrot in question was simply 'pining for the fjords', 'asleep', and 'stunned'.

The fact that there are no parrots in Norway, blue or otherwise, seems to have slipped under the guard of the Pythons.
