Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Doting Twins

Answer: Sitting Down

Sitting - something we never give a thought to. We just plonk down and that's it. Sitting down however isn't the same all over the world. People who read body language like to interpret a person's personality by the way they sit on a chair. I like to sit with one leg tucked up under the other. That would suggest to them that I'm hiding something perhaps. I am too - my leg.
2. Gene Lisp

Answer: Sleeping

Sleeping is another thing we all do differently. Some people curl up, some lie flat out (usually with mouth wide open and heartily snoring), and some prefer one side over the other. For some peculiar reason I always wake up sleeping upside down in the bed.

It's very disorienting at times. The one fact that is common to all however is that we humans all need to sleep on a regular basis - otherwise we'd go cuckoo.
3. Caviar Grind

Answer: Driving a car

Oh dear. Driving a car. For many people, this is a death defying deed. It requires alertness, awareness of where all other vehicles are positioned in relation to your own, a thorough knowledge of road rules - and a good temper. Country driving is less stressful than city driving, but the temptation there is to speed. City driving, however, can be like entering a den full of ravenous beasts - particularly in peak hour traffic. Drive safely, everyone. Oh - one more thing - don't poke your tongue out at a car full of detectives as I once did.

This results in a dreadful lecture.
4. Tube Threshing

Answer: Brushing teeth

If you wish to maintain your teeth in good condition all your life, regular and thorough brushing is a requirement after any meals. This removes any acidic residue from teeth, keeps them clean, keeps decay at bay to a great degree, and your mouth feels lovely and fresh as a result. Perfect for the unhealthy process of kissing.
5. Chairing Mob

Answer: Combing Hair

Unless you wish to look at though you've recently crawled through a hedge backwards, combing or brushing your hair needs to be done on a regular basis to keep it neat and presentable looking. Men tend to comb, as their hair is shorter. Women, on the other hand, particularly those with long hair, prefer the use of a hair brush for this job.

It's less painful if knots are present. Combing and adorning one's hair is a human peculiarity that's almost as old as the race itself. Animals also comb their hair to a degree as well - either by a thorough grooming or licking or pulling out unruly clumps with their teeth.

Some animals, particularly lemurs, lorises, galagos, and some antelopes, have teeth designed in the shape of combs for this job.
6. Detesting Dregs

Answer: Getting Dressed

This is a very necessary procedure every day when leaving the privacy of one's house, to prevent being promptly arrested for wilful exposure. Dress, particularly those reflecting the culture of one's country, varies from nation to nation. Dress in westernised styles varies from era to era and has done for several thousand years. We have no one particular style which represents us, but rather a succession of styles.
7. Ingrained Net

Answer: Eating Dinner

Consuming food is necessary for our survival. The healthier the better would be ideal. However, that's not always the case in an age when so much junk food is readily available. While castigating us for eating too much junk food and becoming obese, governments, at the same time, make no attempt to halt the production of that same junk food. Dinner is the main meal of the day in many countries, and it is recommended that this consist of five vegetables (erk) and a moderate serving of lean beef, chicken or fish.

This should be finished off with a piece of fruit and a glass of milk. Ho, ho, ho. This of course takes place in La-La land, but most families in the real world tend to finish off a healthy main course with a liberal helping of ice cream, or cheese cake, or any number of other delicious and fattening foods instead.
8. Badinage Rook

Answer: Reading A Book

Reading is an excellent hobby and a learning tool as well. Without the ability to read, we are so limited in what we can learn. Television is all very well and good as a means of imparting information, but reading is a necessary and incredibly important skill to enable us to live richer and more fulfilling lives.

Many adults have reading problems, either as a result of missed or incorrect early schooling, or a slight problem with how their eyes see words. This can be overcome with the help of specially trained teachers.

It is difficult for these adults to admit this problem in the first place, but this condition can be solved once that step is taken. I am a qualified high school teacher, and also a teacher of adults with reading difficulties. Let me assure you then that, if you have children who are struggling with this skill, to seek help as soon as possible.

It is also advisable to encourage further reading in children who already possess this skill. The more children read, the better their spelling and comprehension becomes.

It's very important for them to do this.
9. A Neglect Whit Vision

Answer: Watching Television

The thing to remember about television is that it is a good student but a bad master. Too much is not recommended. It encourages the "couch potato" mentality. It is, however, when common sense is applied, and supervision (for children) is put in place, a most excellent tool for learning.

For example, televised educational programs, backed up with relevant reading, serves to reinforce learning both visually and imaginatively. Turn the television off though as often as possible. Replace it instead by reading a good book, going outside in the fresh air, taking up an external hobby, and mixing with people. Live your life while you can - don't just watch it slip by on a small screen.
10. Salvaging Romans

Answer: Solving Anagrams

Isn't it fun?! Excellent training for your brain as well.
