Interestingly, even though the band's first two albums, 'Songs About Jane' (2002) and 'It Won't Be Soon Before Long' (2007), both reached number one in the UK album charts, their first UK number one single wasn't achieved until they released 'Payphone' from their fourth album 'Overexposed' in 2012.

Britney Spears was born on 2nd December 1981. By 2014, Britney had achieved five number one singles in the UK, compared to four in the US. Her first single '...Baby One More Time' charted at number one for both the UK and US charts by 1999.
