Brian was born on August 10, 1931. For the first five years of his life he lived in Haileybury, but he was actually born five miles away, in New Liskeard.
2. What pen name did Brian's father use when he wrote the famous "The Hardy Boys" series of books?

Answer: Franklin W. Dixon

Brian's father wrote twenty of "The Hardy Boys" books, starting with "The Tower Treasure" in 1926 and ending with "The Phantom Freighter" in 1946.

Brian had two sisters, Pat and Norah, but no brothers. His sister Pat was once crowned Miss Ottawa, and once he had to cut Norah from the school's women hockey team.

Brian met Apps in a smoke filled hall in Whitby, Ontario, when he was just a toddler. The former Maple Leaf gave Brian an autograph, "Best Wishes, Syl Apps".

Inkerman is a tiny little town in the middle of Ontario. The greatest moment in Rocket history was in 1951 when they made it to the semi-finals of the Memorial Cup before finally being beaten out by the magnificient Jean Beleiveau and his team, the Quebec City Citadels.

Brian was named the captain of the hockey team, he was a member of the highest honours society, the All-American Team for hockey, he was elected president of his class every year he attended St. Lawrence, and to this day he remains the only player to score more than 100 goals in St. Lawrence history.
