Stephen Tyrone Colbert was born in May 13th, 1964 in Washington, DC. Stephen is the youngest of eleven children. He has seven brothers and three sisters. He is three-quarters Irish and one-quarter French.

The City of Oshawa declared March 20th, 2007 as Stephen Colbert Day. It was no coincidence that this day was the mayor of Oshawa's birthday. The event was the result of a bet where Stephen predicted that the Saginaw Spirit would win a hockey game against the Oshawa Generals.

The Saginaw Spirit and the Oshawa Generals are part of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). Stephen learned in late 2006 that the Spirit had change their mascot's name to Steagle Colbeagle the Eagle, as a tribute to him. The game on January 26th, 2007 went to the Saginaw Spirit.
