Navan was also the birthplace of Sir Francis Beaufort (1774-1857), who devised the famous Beaufort wind scale. Also, although he was not actually born there, James Bond actor Pierce Brosnan lived in Navan as a child.

The towns of Cork, Killarney and Dingle are all in the south-west of Ireland, quite a long way from Dublin.

The role of Bernard Black was Dylan Moran's first starring role in a TV comedy, and was created by him in association with Graham Linehan, co-writer of "Father Ted". Like Basil in "Fawlty Towers", Bernard was a man stuck in a job to which he was temperamentally unsuited, being an anti-social, chain-smoking drunk.

The two other main characters in the show were Manny Bianco (played by Bill Bailey) and Fran Katzenjammer (played by Tamsin Greig).

"Shaun of the Dead" tells how Shaun and his friends deal with a zombie infestation in North London, while simultaneously trying to clear up Shaun's relationship with his girlfriend, Liz. Moran's character is the flatmate of Shaun's girlfriend, Liz, and ends up getting dismembered and devoured by the zombies during the climactic sequence of the film, which takes place in their local pub, the "Winchester".

The other options are all more traditional romantic comedies written by Richard Curtis. Some may feel that "Love Actually" in particularly would have been improved by a zombie invasion half-way through (or even earlier).

"Monster" was recorded at Dublin's Vicar Street arts centre, and is a recording of the show that was actually called "Monster II" on its live tour. Fans of off-beat, stand-up comedy may recognize the other options as being DVDs of shows by Eddie Izzard.

Answer: A Cock and Bull Story

The film, which takes as its basic plot the story of a film crew making a film of "Tristram Shandy", also stars Rob Brydon and Steve Coogan, and is directed by Michael Winterbottom. The other options are also the names of Michael Winterbottom films based on classic novels, but each is based on a novel by Thomas Hardy. "Jude" on "Jude the Obscure", "Trishna" on "Tess of the D'Urbervilles" and "The Claim" on "The Mayor of Casterbridge".

The story tells how Dennis Doyle, played by Simon Pegg, enters a marathon race in order to prove himself to Libby, the girlfriend he had previously jilted at the altar, with Moran playing one of the friends who motivates him. The race turns into a grudge match between Dennis and Whit, Libby's current boyfriend.

Despite spraining his ankle during a collision with Whit, Dennis finishes the race and is reunited with Libby. Moran had previously acted alongside Simon Pegg in "Shaun of the Dead", and Pegg had made a guest appearance in an episode of "Black Books".

Answer: Siobhan and Simon

Siobhan Moran was born on 31 March 2001, with her brother Simon arriving some two years later, on 5 August 2003. Both were born in Scotland, where Moran and his wife were living at the time.

Moran does not like to talk about his family or his personal life in general, considering that they are not relevant to his career as a stand-up comedian and actor, and often refuses to answer questions about them when he is being interviewed.

Answer: He was the first Irish stand-up comedian to perform in Russia.

Moran performed two shows, in English, at the Chaplin Hall in St Petersburg in April 2012. The critical response suggests that the audiences (who received a simultaneous translation through headphones) were slightly bemused by the experience, although Moran himself was positive about the event.
