The original "Kojak" series ran from 1973 to 1978, and also starred Telly Savalas' brother, George Savalas. In "The Dirty Dozen," Savalas' character, Archer Maggott, has been sentenced to death for murdering several prostitutes. During the mission led by Major Reisman (Lee Marvin), Maggott encounters and then murders a woman at a large social gathering of German officers. He then begins firing his weapon wildly at everyone around him, thus alerting the Germans and compromising the mission. Telly Savalas also served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was awarded a Purple Heart.

"Kingpin" features Mr. Harrelson in the role of Roy Munson, a champion bowler who, after losing his bowling hand, leads a fairly unproductive life for 17 years until he meets Ishmael, an Amish man who has to sneak away from his farm in order to go bowling. Roy takes Ishmael under his wing with the hope of molding Ishmael into a champion bowler.
