"Palau's" Coby Archa Trivia Quiz

Prior to competing in "Survivor: Palau", Coby lived in Athens, Texas. However, his birthplace was in Abilene. Coby has also lived in Durham, North Carolina, Lansing, Michigan, and New York City.

After going to Palau, the experience made Coby realize how important family is and he decided that he wanted his own family. He first decided to adopt internationally, but he found out that his cousin was pregnant and couldn't keep it, so Coby adopted the baby. Coby then decided to name his daughter after Janu Tornell, his closest friend from "Survivor: Palau". Janu was very touched when she found out!

When Tom finally was able to kill his shark, he mounted the skull as a sort of trophy. However, the shark skull attracted many flies to the already rat and insect-infested Koror camp. Finally, Coby stepped up and moved the skull. Coby also felt he was one of the few people in Koror who actually did any work at camp and kept it clean, causing him to be a little resentful.

Coby has acted in both professional and local theatre before participating in "Survivor: Palau". With his flamboyant nature, Coby would be the perfect actor! Painting has also been one of his hobbies.

Coby co-owned a hair salon with his best friend Amanda, not his sister. Before his Palau experience, Coby was a hairstylist. He received his license from the Texas Cosmetology Commission.

When it was Coby's turn to address the Final Two, he simply said that he was going to listen to what they said and that he was going to listen for the truth. When voting, he said that he didn't hear the truth from Tom, so he voted for Katie. As far as we know, he was the only jury member to do so. Coby made it clear that he disliked both Katie and Tom, Katie because she was lazy and worthless around camp, and Tom because he never treated Coby very well and sometimes excluded him.

It must have been a tough vote for Coby.

At the very beginning of the show when everyone was together at the same beach, Coby and Angie seemed to have a special bond. They were seen as the two "outsiders", with Angie having numerous tattoos and body piercings and Coby being the homosexual hairdresser. Yet Coby didn't pick Angie when they became tribes, leaving Angie feeling betrayed and their bond broken.

Coby later said that the picking of tribes was his worst nightmare come to life. When he was in school, he was unpopular and never picked for teams, so he was scared that this would happen again. But Jennifer picked him for Koror, and when it was his turn, Coby picked Caryn. And to top it off, he got picked for one of the most dominating tribes in "Survivor" history!

Koror's first Tribal Council occurred when both tribes had to go that night, regardless of who won that challenge. Coby voted unanimously with the rest of Koror for Willard. Coby's last Tribal Council as a contestant was the first Tribal Council with the new Koror and individual challenges. Coby voted for Janu and Janu voted for Stephenie, and the rest of Koror voted for Coby. Coby actually took it as a compliment, as they voted him out because he was a threat, and he thought that was the best reason to be voted out of "Survivor".

Coby beat James both times when they faced off. Everyone assumed that James, the "redneck" steel worker, would beat Coby, the feminine homosexual hairdresser, but Coby surprised everyone. Even James was very complimentary of him afterwards! Coby was an excellent player who came away from "Survivor" a new person.
