Once on Larry King's talk show, Lemmon gave an account on where he was when Kennedy was assassinated. He was filming "Good Neighbor Sam" (1964) which came right after "Under The Yum Yum Tree" (1963) both films which turned out to be bombs. The producers sent everyone home since nobody could connect and they were all in a daze over the tragedy. 5. In which of the following Jack Lemmon films do we find him chasing a Great Dane through Central Park in order to get a partial box of Cracker Jacks?

Answer: The Out Of Towners

This Neil Simon classic was perhaps one of Lemmon's funniest films. He played George Kellerman who along with his wife Gwen (played by Sandy Dennis), flew to New York to interview for a job promotion. From the time they get on the plane everything bad thing that could happen to them does.

The plane was rerouted to Boston so they have to take a crowded commuter train to New York. Upon arrival they find that there was a transit strike....no buses or taxis. They walked to the Waldorf-Astoria only to find out their hotel room reservation was given away because they arrived late. Also their luggage somehow ended up in Cleveland.

After that they were robbed by a con man and end up sleeping in Central park and the only food they found was a box of Cracker Jacks which the dog steals.

In 1999 Steve Martin and Goldie Hawn starred in a remake.
