In 1982, she debuted at the British Royal Opera House in a production of "Pelleas et Melisande". In the 1990s, she also did a tour at the Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires. Greevy was known more for her singing than for her acting, which is also an important element in opera.

Macgill had three other children, Isolde, Bruce and Edgar, the latter two of whom is a producers for film and television.

In Macgill's later years, she mostly acted in cameos and guest roles on television programs including "The Twilight Zone" and "I Dream of Jeannie".

Helen Lewis was born in what is now the Czech Republic on June 22, 1916. Because she was Jewish, she and her husband were sent to the Terezin concentration camp, then to Auschwitz and Helen was moved yet again to Stutthof. After the war, in which her husband died, Helen remarried a man named Harry Lewis, a previous romantic interest of hers. Lewis had British citizenship and the new couple moved to Belfast where Helen became a choreographer for a high school.

She later moved on to choreography projects for professional productions.

In 1962, she founded the Belfast Modern Dance Group. After her death in 2009, the dance studio at the Crescent Arts Center was renamed after her.
